How do we know if conservation efforts are making a difference?

On 23 September 2026, CSF Indonesia and @reefcheck.or.id convened the TFCCA Impact Monitoring Workshop in Jakarta to explore how the program’s ecological and socioeconomic impacts can be assessed.

The workshop featured insights from three experts: Martin Siyaranamual, PhD, on impact evaluation in environmental conservation; Rizal Adi Prima, PhD, on Social Return on Investment (SROI) in reef conservation; and Dr. Tries Blandine Razak on coral reef monitoring methods and long-term trends.

Experts also worked in ecological and socioeconomic groups to discuss indicators and practical approaches to impact monitoring.

En el mundo hay billones de dólares buscando rendimientos e impactos positivos. Sejak 2016, CSF Indonesia telah membersamai 650+ alumni di berbagai sektor. Lebih dari 80% di antaranya menerapkan ilmu ekonomi lingkungan dalam pekerjaan dan komunitas mereka sehari-hari.

🌎 At Conservation Strategy Fund, we are proud to support research that connects economics and conservation to deepen our understanding of the challenges facing Bolivia's forests.

We are especially grateful to Rodrigo Gonzales Zuazo, economist on our Bolivia team, for presenting his research on the macroeconomics of deforestation in Bolivia at the Nature and the Macroeconomy Conference in Santiago, Chile.

His work takes a closer look at the relationship between agricultural productivity and forest loss, highlighting how gains in productivity can sometimes create stronger incentives for land conversion.
