On Saturday, MPOWER 2026 brought together over 160 British Muslim professionals from across the UK to the West Midlands for our third annual summit, a day centred on leadership, authenticity and what it means to move forward whilst staying grounded in faith and values.

From the moment the doors opened, there was a clear sense of energy in the room. Attendees arrived from a wide range of professional backgrounds and career stages, from those starting out in their careers to those leading teams, organisations, and initiatives, all connected by a shared intention to learn, reflect, connect, and engage meaningfully.

Across the day, we explored leadership in practice, navigating real professional challenges, authenticity in the workplace, the transition from employee to entrepreneur, networking with intention, reflections on AI, charitable impact beyond our careers, addressing racism and Islamophobia in professional spaces, and fostering healthy organisational cultures and team dynamics.

What defined the day was what happened around it:
• Conversations that carried on long after sessions ended.
• Introductions that became real connections.
• Gems from the Prophetic traditions and their application to the workplace in Britain in 2026.

From the moment people arrived for registration, the energy picked up straight away.

Familiar faces reconnecting. New introductions happening instantly. Conversations flowing naturally across the room.

Even before the programme began, there was already a clear sense of intention in the space.

The day opened with a Qur’an recitation and an opening address, grounding the room before the first panel session.

Across the day, the room never felt static. Between sessions, conversations continued, ideas were exchanged, and people made the most of every moment to connect and engage.

Different journeys. Different industries. Different stages of career. One shared space.

“Volunteer leaders deserve development too.”

At Rosebuds, our leaders aren’t paid staff.

They’re women balancing work, family, studies and everyday life - yet they still choose to dedicate their time to building spaces where Muslim women can connect, grow and belong.

Too often, volunteers are expected to lead without being invested in themselves.

We believe that should change.

That’s why we encourage our leaders to attend conferences, learn from experienced professionals, build meaningful networks and continue developing as leaders.

Because when we invest in the women who serve our communities, everyone benefits.

Not long ago, a few of our Rosebuds leaders attended the MPower Summit, taking time to learn, reflect and grow - not for themselves alone, but so they can return with fresh ideas, greater confidence and stronger leadership for the sisters they serve.

Last week, MiPP attended the MPOWER Muslim Professionals Leadership Summit hosted by the @consortiumnetwork , joining Muslim professionals, leaders and changemakers from across the UK for a day of learning, networking and meaningful conversation. 🤝

All speakers were incredibly insightful, including:

Mohamed Ali, Founder of My Muslim Mentor: on the vision behind the platform and how meaningful mentorship can transform the trajectories of Muslim professionals and students 🌱

Hisham Abu Yusuf, CEO of Roots Academy: on navigating spiritual wellbeing in the modern workplace 🕌

Sufia Hussain, Founder of RB+: on Islamophobia, Muslim professional rights and how to navigate difficult conversations with confidence 💡

We came away with fresh perspectives, new connections and a renewed sense of what this community is capable of building together.

On Saturday 20th June 2026, representatives attended The Muslim Professionals Network event organised by MCB member, CONSORTIUM.

Held in the Midlands, it brought together professionals from a wide range of sectors and networks to encourage collaboration, mentorship, and community development. The event provided a valuable platform for meaningful engagement, the exchange of ideas, and the strengthening of professional and community ties.

The gathering highlighted the importance of unity and collective action, demonstrating the positive impact of bringing together diverse talents and experiences in pursuit of shared goals.

MPower 2026. Digital Muslims North made their debut.

Mohammed led the "Your AI Colleague" workshop, a session on using AI in your day to day, not just talking about it.

We had a packed room. Real questions. People left with stuff they could use Monday morning.

Huge props to the Consortium team for putting together such a well organised event!
