Guess who? Caleb and Harry made it all the way to Igloolik after nearly 3.5 months of hiking and paddling around Baffin Island. It was awesome to sit down with the guys and hear about their crazy adventure and their plans for future expeditions. The last part of this adventure is just about to start, and it looks like a rough one: the weather is changing (wind is picking up, temperature is dropping) and they have some serious seafaring to do before they start hiking on foot again toward Iqaluit. @calebjmcdaniels @hpenfold taken in Igloolik, Nunavut by @constableserpico

Happy International day to our doggos, Blueberry and Flash. Sadly, Maya, the brindle pug-boxer mix, is no longer with us.

We got Maya back in British Columbia in 2016. We knew he had a heart condition, but we hoped he would be with us longer than just a few years.
Then, one cold night shift on Alaska Highway, I rescued Blueberry (a chihuahua-terrier mix), the tiniest dog I've ever seen - she easily fit in my jacket pocket when I took her home.

... and, of course, Flash - "Iqaluit special" - hard to pinpoint his original breeds, but he is unmistakably awesome. He was rescued by a co-worker at the start of a nightshift in Iqaluit
Our daughter named all three doggos, and the names fit their looks and personalities perfectly. :) taken in Canada by @constableserpico

No, it's not the pirates. The Taïga Desgagnés sealift arrived in Igloolik.
These specialized vessels deliver everything from construction materials, heavy equipment, vehicles, crazy amounts of non-perishable goods, and much more to remote Nunavut communities.
