“Mulberry on the Wabash”, colored pencil on poplar, 16 x 16”From my series “Recovery Blankets” reflecting mankind’s need for warmth, comfort, and survival in a harsh world. “Mulberry” was executed during my artist residency with the Robert Lee Blaffer Foundation in New Harmony, IN. The colors symbolize some of the fruit trees along the Wabash River and conjur the Native American blanket trading in the early 19th century. by @constanceart
