On March 5th, Excel South Shore @excelsouthshorebroncos celebrated Women’s History Month
with a wonderful event organized by Ms. Sweet @_youcme , Director of Student Services. I had the honor of being the keynote speaker, focusing on empowering our students and staff through affirmations and honoring one another with positive words.

We discussed the importance of identifying and supporting a sisterhood. Inspired by Dean @johnnyjd112 mirror practice, I believe this should be a universal practice in schools. Incredible work!

Together, we cultivated a community of love, empathy, and strength. I am so grateful and proud of the amazing ladies involved—we had a blast!

I learned so much, and special thanks to Jessica, @ninety5_directed our talented videographer, for bringing our stories to life.

Thank you for your gift and heart! ♥️

It’s not about what meets the naked eye. People, students, and employees want to be seen and feel safe. 🗣️
Stop dismissing. Start believing. Teach people and open doors—never turn someone away just because they are difficult for you to understand. Create a safe space today!

My favorite seasons are here. ❄️

I’ve historically performed best under pressure—seasons that required me to press forward, use strategy, endure discomfort, and keep moving.

Maybe that’s why winter feels like home.

It’s cold. It’s uncomfortable. Most people don’t particularly enjoy it, and it isn’t promoted with the same glamour as warmer seasons.

But I do well here.

What I’m learning is that doing well in difficult conditions and needing difficult conditions to recognize your strength are two different things.

What happens when you enter a season where you no longer have to fight the same way?

Maybe it isn’t about accomplishing more or finally reaching “nice weather.” Maybe it’s about spiritual discernment, rejecting the world, and dealing with your own brokenness.

You can’t blame your upbringing, family, partner, job, or boss. You don’t have to fight every current.

Your job doesn’t have to become your identity. Your accomplishments don’t have to prove that you survived—or that you exist.

You don’t have to work so hard to make connections, be seen, or be “followed” to know your life has meaning.

At some point, the work becomes surrender.

Surrendering old, deadly beliefs and the need to survive everything.

Surrendering the belief that you are here just to obtain a degree, prove someone wrong, “chase the bag,” identify with a race war, or follow the world.

Just because you know how to fight doesn’t mean fighting is always the assignment.

Maybe the assignment is to be still. Maybe that’s your new way of fighting.

How are you fighting in this season?

Are you fighting a battle already won when you’re being called to develop yourself in Christ?

Titles. Money. Status. Followers. The perfect post. The nice house. The color of your skin.

None of it can directly change your heart. But if you're not careful, they can become like Gods to us.

Are you willing to work on your inner man—your heart?

Don’t get lost chasing an illusion.

Jesus Christ is KING.

This journey won’t be perfect, but it will be with Christ.

My soul is changing, and generational curses will be broken. 🙏🏽

Jesus Christ is doing great things.

As I enter a new month, I’m also entering a season of greater focus.

My work is becoming increasingly clear: building resilience in communities, strengthening professionals through PASRR education, and creating content that keeps Jesus Christ at the center.

What a beautiful way to enter this season by celebrating the pioneering work of SALUD Chicago ( @saludchicago ) at their 2026 Gala.

I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside SALUD Chicago and witness their commitment to bringing culture, mental health, healing, and community into the same conversation worldwide. Their work is a reminder of what becomes possible when we intentionally create spaces where people feel seen, supported, and connected.

I believe some of our strongest communities are built from a place of love — love that reaches across cultures, backgrounds, professions, and experiences and reminds us that there is far more that can bring us together than separate us.

There is more to build, more to learn, and more communities to serve.

Honored to celebrate alongside my brother in Christ @johnnyjd112 , a dedicated dean focused on elevating our Austin Community youth and my mother who is growing stronger in Christ daily 🤍.

We love you SALUD (@drcamacho , @jazz_marina24 , & mama Salud 🤍). We will always stand with our Latino and immigrant communities throughout Chicago as they continue to build and grow stronger.

May God continue to bless lives through their work.

+ Some bloopers to enjoy ☺️ 🤣

Jesus Christ at the center. Resilience in the work. Love in the foundation. Service in the community.

A lighthouse for resilience. 💚

On August 27th, we’re bringing Building Community Resilience to A House in Austin.

Together, we’ll explore language reframing, miscommunication, and real-time de-escalation—practical tools for becoming better together.

Today reminded me of something I think we all forget.

Life rarely slows down before asking us to do something important.

It asks us to show up while we’re nervous.
To answer the question anyway.
To walk into the interview anyway.
To introduce ourselves anyway.

This week at the Peter & Judy Kovler Career Conference at the @thisisuic University of Chicago, we practiced something beautifully simple:

🤍 Pause.
🤍 Reset.
🤍 Stand with confidence.

Not because you’ll always feel ready, but because every new moment is an opportunity to begin again.

Before your next conversation, try this:

Take one slow breath.
Relax your shoulders.
Lift your head.
Then walk in with courage.

One small reset can change the way you experience an entire day.

I’m grateful to Emily Cracolici and the University of Chicago for creating spaces where students can grow, ask questions, and imagine what’s possible.

Rise in Christ. Keep going. Someone is quietly encouraged because you didn’t give up. 🤍🦋

“I will not negotiate with darkness.

Let the enemy know: I am not backing down.

I am not the same anymore.” — @cindytrimm

Resilience is refusing to surrender when darkness surrounds you. It is fixing your eyes on the smallest flicker of God’s light and refusing to stop until you emerge from the tunnel transformed. My victory is not in my own strength—it is in following Jesus Christ, the Light of the world.

See you next week wonderful people @thisisuic, #2026 Peter and Judy Kovler Career Conference 🇺🇸🙌🏾🙏🏾

Happy Friday 🤍

Grateful to close out the week and step into this next quarter grounded and aligned.

Honored to speak with @familyfocus_org staff & leadership this past March.

“You cannot pour from an empty cup.”

We talked about:
• burnout
• compassion fatigue
• setting boundaries that actually sustain you

Because the people doing the work… matter just as much as the work itself.

🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

Woohoo—another building block complete ✅✨

I just finished (@harvard) Harvard Business Strategy (Online) and I’m truly grateful. The tools I’m taking forward into Consult Yara: complements vs. substitutes, willingness to pay, competition, and scaling with integrity.

I’m still beyond grateful for the opportunity I had to film with (@betablox ) Betablox an Entrepreneurial Bootcamp Show—it was business education overload ✍🏾. I learned a lot and met some amazing people, including one of the judges, Danny C. @dannycortenraede . Hearing that he completed a Harvard school course inspired me to keep investing behind the scenes.

Here is a reminder for me (and maybe for you too): you never just arrive—You develop, purify, and refine.

There’s nowhere to “arrive” to—make Jesus your priority and build your life with Him.

I’m nowhere near perfect or worthy, but I keep getting back up—willing to be used. Be blessed. 🤍

This is what Consult Yara stands for: RESILIENCE.

After serving as the Keynote Speaker for @familyfocus_org, one thing was clear:

Resilience isn’t a concept.
It’s something we must build, practice, and lead with—together.

First—thank you Jesus Christ for the opportunity to serve in this way. 🙏🏾

During the keynote, I focused on developing trust and resilience across every department, because real impact happens when the entire system is aligned:

✨ Development – building resilient relationships that sustain funding
✨ Finance – navigating pressure with clarity and steadiness
✨ HR – cultivating trust and psychologically safe teams
✨ Facilities – creating environments that communicate safety and dignity
✨ Programs – maintaining consistency and quality under pressure
✨ Leadership – modeling accountability and calm in chaos

This wasn’t surface-level motivation—
this was application, reflection, and transformation.

Rooted in principles from my book:
📖 The Code of Care: Wellness Strategies for Those in the Helping Profession

And this is what I shared:

“We need each other more than ever during these times. Sometimes all a person can do is show up—so lead with love.”

Resilience is the theme.
Resilience is the work.
Resilience is what Consult Yara is building with the world.
