Summer sweat isn’t the only thing hot and salty at Context Collective this July 🔥🧂

Join us July 12, 19, 25, 26, and August 1st for THE SALT FIRE EXPERIENCE, our first ever 4 week mini-series ALL LEVELS ceramic workshop!

Artist in Residence, @ashkingstudios, will be teaming up with Mariah Kitner of @context.clay to guide participants through this one of a kind atmospheric firing workshop. We will cover hand building techniques, surface design, glaze, and kiln prep for our work to be fired in a specialized SALT kiln.

This ALL LEVELS series has something for everyone! Skill building for beginners and a deeper dive into materials and firing processes for any level artist interested in expanding their ceramic practice!

For registration and event details you know where to look…. 🔗🌲

This workshop made possible by @capregionartscenter with sponsorships from @saratogaclayarts and @capitalceramicsupply

I have a few new pieces fresh out of the kiln, including nesting plate sets ($55), raspberry mugs ($58) and my new crow and cloud magnets and pins ($5 singles, $22 5-packs). They are already finding their way onto fridges, jackets, and tote bags all over town. If you have someone special in mind, these make thoughtful and affordable gifts.

❄️ I made 500 handmade ornaments last year to help fund my kiln, and they’ve become some of my favorite pieces to share.

🏛️Each one is crafted with care, inspired by the architecture and spirit of Victorian Troy NY, and boxed up ready for gifting.

🎁 I’m now offering a limited-time bulk promotion to help clear space in the studio and brings artful gifts into your hands just in time for the holidays.

✨ Whether you are gifting coworkers, family, or your favorite Troy enthusiasts, these ornaments are made to delight.
