I wish I had a magic wand I could wave. But unfortunately, there are no silver bullets or quick fixes and you (not me!) need to study hard in order to succeed in the exam.

Here's a quick look at why I decided to shoot the video for future ATCOs.

They usually take the ICAO English exam in their final year of studies but it is not the only one exam and challenge they face. Troubles with a medical examination, writing a final research paper, lack of time as a consequence and fear for the future in general.

Teaching is focused on the acquisition of knowledge and skills. Coaching is focused on refining and developing them. Coaches offer advice and guidance and provide information so that students can choose by themselves whether or not to follow the instructions.

So, I could be of some help here.

In ICAO Level 5, speakers are expected to attempt complex structures with greater control than at Level 4, so phrasal verbs can absolutely be part of that broader range of grammar and vocabulary. Here are 5 common phrasal verbs with up.

In the minutes before the test, many of my students arrive with 10–15 topics in their heads, eyes wide and hearts racing. They've studied hard, but right before the exam, they feel like they've forgotten everything. That's why I ask them to repeat this mantra out loud or under their breath:
"I am prepared" reminds them the work is already done.
“I am ready” reminds them they are in the right moment to use it.
"I can do this" shifts their mindset from panic to readiness.
Simple? Yes.
Powerful? Even more so.
It won't magically boost their knowledge, but it calms their nerves, clears their minds, and helps them access what they already know.

The beginning of the year is a time when we like to set new goals for the coming year.
Setting ambitious New Year’s resolutions with every intention of fulfilling them.

📌 It is important to set high goals, but at the same time the goals must be realistic.

My language goal for 2⃣0⃣2⃣5⃣ is C1 level in English ✨
