Over the past 5 years of working in music technology & production I’ve found myself fascinated with the way that different creative people interact with their tools & workspaces, and how those discrepancies tend to lend themselves to certain creative outcomes. In short “workflow” is everything.

I started working on this design in Feb of 2024 after moving into a new space & facing the challenge I assume almost every music producer today faces, “where does all my shit go?”

A huge thanks to @tweiseman for being the person to finish off the design & bring it to life this past winter, & to @emkmoses for taking these photos of the final product.

I’ve got a whole book of music production related design ideas waiting for the right time to actualize themselves, but until then please enjoy “CB-1”. by @contoon.network

I wrote this poem 3 years ago to myself during a season of change. Every season of change since then it’s stayed on my mind. This year it feels worth sharing as it does reading to myself. taken in Nashville, Tennessee by @contoon.network
