Are you an illustrator wondering about licensing and contracts? Then this double contract drop is meant for you.
.
Our first one (V.2.1) is a contract template for situations where you want to offer your client a contract (that's right - you don't have to wait to be given one by your client) when your client commissions you for work.
.
Our second contract template (V.2.2) is for illustrators ready to immerse yourselves in the lucrative, and tricky waters of licensing. This is your licensing template, to get you started on fine tuning the details of the licensing arrangement of your illustration artwork.
.
.
Contracts can make a world of a difference to the way we navigate our role in the marketplace, and make steady steps towards making the creative economy a fairer space. So what are you waiting for? Let us know what you think and whether you're ready to give our new contracts a spin. 😉

The contracts are downloadable in word format from the desktop version of the website. by @contracts4creators

Reposted from @yashpradhan I’ve been wanting to share my thoughts about drafting contracts through my experience of working with different clients. As much as it takes a bit of back & forth, contracts give better transparency from both ends & smoothens the communication.

It helps to state you terms in a written format & makes the workflow easier, I urge more artists to come together and start using contracts before they get onboard for any projects.

Make a draft as it’s not too late to set the standard right, so the clients don’t get too comfortable exploiting your time & skills.

Share it to your freelance artist friends who could some of these pointers, if you’re an artist yourself save this post & get started by drafting a contract.

We have some really sweet news that we want to let you in on.
We are ONE!
That’s right – it’s been one whole year since we officially launched, and started our service as Contracts For Creators with all of you. But more importantly, we've grown from the 3 of us as co-founders to all of us here as one community! Thank you for being part of the journey. We are in this together.

Hey folks! Thank you for sharing your responses and concerns with us. We hear you and we’re right there with you - these are some tough times. We wondered about how we might be able to help each other, and have decided to create this simple Creative Directory, where all of us can share our details and hopefully, make it easier to discover potential collaborations and jobs. Please do be mindful of the terms which are here to remind us to be kind and respectful of each other, and share the link with anyone you feel can use this.

It’s World Theatre Day and we’re throwing the spotlight on performance agreements for all you Actors on stage 🎭 With everything that’s going on around us, we know that it might be a little longer before we get to see our next play, but that doesn’t mean we can’t all brush up on our rights in the meanwhile. Also, if you’re in theatre and would like to offer some feedback, we’re all ears 🤗 DM or comment please. You can download the free template using the link in our bio. taken in Mumbai, Maharashtra by @contracts4creators

We had a wonderful time this past weekend at @spokenfest 2020! To all of you who participated in our workshop and the conversation — thank you! Our work is all about community, and nothing makes us happier than meeting you all 🤗
.
.
We spoke to you about the do’s and don’ts of being a professional creative in contemporary India, as well as how we believe that being aware of our legal rights can be empowering. If you have any thoughts on this, do feel free to talk about this in the comments below 🙏🏾 #spokenfest2020 #SpokenMumbai #creatorsforchange taken in Jio World Garden by @contracts4creators

Put your creativity to work with Contracts for Creators!

Contracts For Creators (@contracts4creators) is a platform that provides contractual information freely for the empowerment of the creative community. We see this as a crucial tool for freshers and professionals to be able to strengthen their professional ties and protect themselves from unethical industry behaviour, late payments, unruly clients etc.

Founded by Manojna @manojnayeluri , Mihir @digital_baba and Ayesha @kometjuice , the website has been designed to be simple and hassle free. Contracts don't need to be complicated. They need to be functional.
