AI & Automation in Real Estate Transactions - Let’s Talk About the Other Side

AI and automation are powerful tools. In many areas of business, they can absolutely drive efficiency, speed, and scale.

But when it comes to real estate transactions, the conversation deserves a little more nuance.

I’m approached regularly by AI and automation platforms encouraging us to “give it a try.” And while I can see how they might be a fast track to growth, the truth is, I’m not interested.

Here’s why:

Real estate contracts are complex. They change. They shift. They require judgment, context, and real-time decision-making. Over the past two weeks alone, we’ve seen just how quickly transactions can pivot—and how critical it is to respond immediately, thoughtfully, and accurately.

That’s where our team comes in.

Our team of 10 works hands-on with our agents—partnering with them in real time as transactions evolve. We adapt, problem-solve, and communicate proactively as needs change. That level of responsiveness simply isn’t something AI or automation can replicate (at least not today).

Could AI help me grow and scale CTC? Sure.
But here’s the thing—I don’t need to be the biggest transaction management company.

I want to be the best.

And for us, that means prioritizing expertise, human judgment, accountability, and real relationships over shortcuts to scale.

Technology has its place—but when it comes to protecting our agents, their clients, and their contracts, I’ll choose hands-on, every time.

I have these conversations with agents all the time.

Most start with the same questions and myths:

“Is a TC worth it?”

“Will I lose control?”

“Is my business big enough yet?”

And almost without fail, once an agent decides to give it a try, I hear the same thing on the other side:

“I wish I had started sooner.”
