To my little brother, my first best friend, my greatest headache and my greatest comfort, a jokester with a heart bigger than life itself—

It’s been a month since you left, and somehow it still doesn’t feel real. Every day I find myself wanting to call you, laugh with you, talk about life, make plans, take trips, and create more memories together. We still had so much life left to share, but God called you home before we were ready.

I carry a pain words could never fully explain, but I also carry the blessing of having loved you and been loved by you. That bond can never be broken—not by time, distance, or even death.

I promise you this: Thailynn will always know who her father was. I’ll be the best uncle I can possibly be. I’ll be there for every milestone, every lesson, every laugh, every moment she needs love and guidance. I can never replace you, and I never will try to, but I’ll make sure your spirit lives through me every single day.

Truthfully, I still don’t know what to say because losing you left a space in my heart that can never be filled. But one thing I’ll never question is my love for you. That love is forever. Beyond this life and into the next.

So rest easy, little brother. Now it’s your turn to watch over me.

Forever TYed Together 🤞🏿💙 by @contral___
