Retired Green Beret 5th SFG(A)🇺🇸 Giving back to the Law Enforcement Community

September 11, 2001 — Never Forget.

Twenty-five years ago, our nation witnessed unimaginable evil, tremendous loss, and extraordinary courage.

On that morning, firefighters, law enforcement officers, first responders, military personnel, and ordinary Americans answered chaos with courage. They ran toward danger. They served strangers. Many made the ultimate sacrifice so that others might live.

At Controlled Chaos Tactics, we believe service means being prepared to step forward when others need you most. Today, we honor those who answered that call on September 11 and those who have carried its weight ever since.

Never forget. 🇺🇸 by @controlledchaostactics

Today, Controlled Chaos Tactics had the opportunity to train the Travelers Rest Police Department and Pickens Police Department Special Response Teams at Bob Jones University in Upstate South Carolina.

We kicked off the morning with a PT session before moving into complex CQB problems, working through complex rooms, hallways, stairwells, and multi-room building environments that challenge communication, decision-making, and team movement.

We finished the day with vehicle tactics focused specifically on CI/UC rescue operations.

Great day of training with two excellent departments and a group of officers committed to sharpening their skills.

Controlled Chaos Tactics sends our deepest condolences to the family of Officer Christopher Delong, as well as his friends, fellow officers, and the entire Columbia Police Department.

The tragic loss of a young husband, father, and police officer is heartbreaking. Our love and support for law enforcement extends far beyond training. These are the men and women we train beside, serve alongside, build relationships with, and consider part of our family.

Today, we mourn alongside the law enforcement community.

Please join us in praying for Officer Delong’s family, friends, and fellow officers during the difficult days ahead. We also ask for continued prayers for the second officer impacted by today’s tragic events and for continued improvement in their recovery.

Our hearts are with everyone affected by this tragedy.

Rest easy, Officer Delong. Your service and sacrifice will not be forgotten. 🖤💙🖤 by @controlledchaostactics

You don’t have to prove anything to everyone.

Put your head down. Stay humble. Do the work.

Become someone worth following—not someone looking to be followed.

SRTOCC 2026 is a wrap!!

What an incredible week and an outstanding group of operators. We appreciate every one of these students and the trust they placed in Controlled Chaos Tactics to deliver the highest quality training possible.

As we tell every class, this certification is earned, not given. The PT is not for the weak and has been described as “sucking”, “trash”, and “will kill you”. 😂 The physical training, range work, tactics, and performance evaluations are designed to test you both physically and mentally. These newly certified operators faced every challenge head-on, pushed through adversity, and demonstrated the resilience and determination required to succeed.

Congratulations to each of you on this accomplishment. We are proud of your hard work, commitment, and dedication to becoming better prepared to serve your communities.

If you are interested in training with Controlled Chaos Tactics, contact Paul Heitz or visit www.controlledchaostactics.com.

Day 3 of SRTOCC

Today brought the notorious Deck of Death, pushing operators through a challenging session of physical training that tested both endurance and mental toughness.

Training continued with instruction and practical application of hallways, corner-fed rooms, center-fed rooms, and emergency bleed control thanks to Dynamic Solutions LLC. Operators spent the day building the skills necessary to move, communicate, and respond effectively in high-risk environments.

Another demanding day in the books as these operators continue to sharpen their mindset, tactics, and ability to perform under stress.

From marksmanship fundamentals to advanced drills under stress, the dedication, discipline, and determination displayed by this year’s class has been impressive to watch. Every repetition, every challenge, and every lesson learned is building stronger and more capable operators.

Enjoy the video and take a look at the hard work these men and women have put in so far. We are only halfway through the week, and there is still plenty of training ahead.
