✨ Convergence Spotlight! ✨ Get ready to roll with Durham Region Roller Derby at CONVERGENCE 2026! 🛼💥 🛼 @drrollerderby will be bringing the energy to Ontario ST all weekend long! Don't miss the demonstrations, skating, and a chance to learn more about this inclusive, skater-run community. “Founded in 2009 and just 40 minutes east of Toronto, Durham Region Roller Derby (DRRD) is an inclusive, skater-run community where there’s a place for everyone — whether you’re brand new to roller skates, a seasoned derby veteran, or someone who wants to be part of the action off the track. We’re a community committed to building skills, overcoming challenges, playing derby, supporting each other, and having a good time along the way. Want to learn roller derby? We’ll teach you. Our programs welcome new skaters and build the skills, confidence, and community you need to get rolling. Already have years of skating or derby experience? Come join us and put those skills to work. With three teams and skaters at every level, there’s always someone to learn from, skate with, and cheer you on. You don’t have to skate to be part of DRRD; volunteers, officials, coaches, photographers, announcers, medics, and all the behind-the-scenes humans who make derby happen are an essential part of our community. If you want to get involved, make friends, learn something new, or just be around some genuinely awesome people, there’s a place for you here.” And if you leave Convergence thinking I could totally do this, DRRD’s Derby 101 is happening the following week, along with their final home game of the year. 👀 🗓️ Saturday, September 19 + Sunday, September 20 📍 Downtown Oshawa For Derby 101 registration, final home game tickets, and more, check out their Linktree: https://linktr.ee/drrollerderby ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 🎶 Feel the music. 🎨 See the art. 🚀 Enter the universe of CONVERGENCE.
