Il golf è un po' come il matrimonio:amore e odio.
Sabato? Solo odio.😬
Ho giocato una gara a Villa d'Este.
Un campo meraviglioso. Il mio golf, decisamente meno.
Ma forse è anche per questo che continuo ad amare questo gioco.
Il golf ti mette continuamente davanti a te stessa.
Alla fretta, alla frustrazione, alle aspettative. Ti obbliga a lasciare andare il colpo appena fatto, perché quello successivo ha bisogno di tutta la tua presenza.
E allora continui.
Un colpo alla volta. Una buca alla volta.
Dopo tanti anni continuo a cercare di capire questo gioco.
E ogni tanto ho il sospetto che sia lui a capire me.
E forse non parlo soltanto di golf. ⛳️

Golf is a bit like marriage: love and hate.
Saturday? Just hate.😬
I played a tournament at Villa d’Este golf club.
A beautiful course. My golf, definitely less so.
But maybe that’s also why I keep loving this game.
Golf constantly puts you face to face with yourself.
With impatience, frustration, expectations. It forces you to let go of the shot you’ve just played, because the next one needs full attention.
And so you keep going.
One shot at a time. One hole at a time.
After all these years, I’m still trying to understand this game.
And sometimes I have the feeling that it understands me better than I understand it.

Le mie vacanze stanno finendo.
Mi sono riposata, ho rallentato, ho respirato.
E continuo a fare scoperte.
Una, soprattutto: il tempo non si ferma mentre noi decidiamo come vivere.
Forse è per questo che fermarsi ogni tanto non significa perdere tempo. Significa capire dove vale davvero la pena metterlo.
Ora si riparte. Non più veloce, ma più presente.
Perché sto imparando che non conta riempire il tempo, ma scegliere ciò che merita il nostro tempo.
E voi … cosa merita davvero il vostro tempo, oggi?

My holidays are coming to an end. I’ve rested, slowed down, taken time to breathe.
And I keep discovering new things.
One, above all: time doesn’t stop while we decide how we want to live.
Maybe that’s why slowing down every now and then doesn’t mean wasting time.
It means understanding where our time is truly worth spending.
Now it’s time to start again. Not faster, but more present.
Because I’m learning that it’s not about filling our time, but about choosing what is truly worth our time.
