I have 3 film cameras in rotation that I lose continually (ask my wife ❤️)

“Hey baby, have you seen my camera?”

“It’s on your camera shelf, right there…”

“No, not this one, my film camera”

“In your bedside table? Idk Timmy, just put them all on the camera shelf”

I find a camera in with my resistance bands, I find one in the bag I took fishing, and then I find the one I know for sure that was on that gig with me one time.

I always know where my digital camera is, and I’m never mystified by it.

I know what’s on it and where it’s been, its images will never live in an analog world.

Where they can get bitten by your kitten (I swear this happens), sucked into a vacuum, bent up in your bedside table or completely forgotten abt until the next time you’re looking for your camera.

Mars Men - Prepare to Launch - @dc_mma

Big thanks to the Mars Men team for bringing me on, this one was a perfect synthesis of my MMA practice and production acumen ⚔️🥋🥊

I started training in @bdesirmma basement during COVID, so I’ve had plenty of practice stepping on the mats with legends. Always amazed at how interconnected worlds become when you put yourself out there 🙏

I always have some sort of overwhelming urge tell everyone everything that’s happening simultaneously as it happens, and for it to be remembered perfectly as it happened, forever. Permanent, pristine.

So maybe we should create a set, bring people together and let multiple departments tackle this permanent pristine story.

Someone will decide who should do what, someone will decide when they do it, somebody else will light it, somebody else will dress the characters, someone else will bring snacks for all the someone elses creating this memory that never happened, and we’ll tell a story. Delete what you don’t like, elevate the best parts. And godwilling, if you’re doing it right, someone else will pay for it :)

I think at one point or another we’ve all run into “The Producer’s Kid”. In my experience you can usually find a producers kid sleeping in the shuttle, recklessly spending PC or leaving lockups completely unattended.

Father’s Day this year made me realize that I’m lucky my career in production (besides a single PA gig in 2008) didn’t overlap with my dad’s.

Im lucky because although I knew you could make a career in entertainment, I did not know “how”. I was allowed to fail on my own and succeed on my own, my dad showed me the path but not the way.

I’m lucky I get to be a producers kid that drives trucks, breaks down catering, acts as a human sand bag, works as an extra…

Thanks Dad 🙏🙏🙏

CT/NJ/NY breeds a certain type of misfit, I’m lucky that @julienajarry happens to be a similar breed of dogged outcast.

I got a call that @xtratuf needed a producer for their new series, and that Julien wanted me to come on board, I jumped at the opportunity. “Yea, first episode is gonna be in Alaska”

Growing up I watched Balto religiously, “a dog can’t make it…. But maybe a wolf can!” Strangers turned to friends, closed doors became welcoming portals to new worlds.

Somewhere on day 5 of our 3 day shoot we all found time for a nap, then, like all of my amazing journeys, the trip ended at a laundromat nearest the airport.

Here’s to a journey at sea, with some of my favorite people ❤️❤️❤️

Coordinated this job during All-Star Weekend back in February. A lot of talent on camera, a ton of talent behind camera.

250 crew, client, agency, and 15 talent, 80+ extras over a 3 day period 🫠

I remember watching the all-star game in 2000 and falling in love with ball, it was awesome to be part of it 25 years later back in The Bay.

I’m at lunch it’s June 2023, it’s my first gig in the Bay. Everything’s weird and sorta different than NYC, but lunch convos are the same wherever you go “Wha cha workin on?”.
Universal freelance lunch conversation starter
The 2nd AD talks me thru this movie he’s been working on for years, there’s a cult leader who wants to get yoga in the Olympics, there’s comedy, intrigue, and yoga.

I nod and encourage, standard operating procedure. Always nod and encourage folks, I don’t care what’s being pitched to you.

We’re called back in, we shoot our fitbit content and go on our separate ways.

Well goddamnit a year later, one of my friends asks if I’m avail to work on a feature, sends me the script. Sure enough that 2nd AD from lunch, the wonderful Dan Damann, is finally directing his film, The Yogi Movie. I was lucky enough to spend a week on this, and I finally got these shots off my Samsung digi.

Sleeping under the stars *no one in production slept* and shooting in the woods up north with this squad was unbelievable. Loading gear down to that river bed took years off my life, taking it back up wasn’t much easier 😂 taken in Philo, California by @conwayjest

Took me damn near a year to get my thoughts in order.
First off I just want to shoutout the wonderful women in the Bay who gave me opportunities to run first team in their city. The whole process I went through having to start at the bottom of the call sheet on a new coast was extremely humbling. Working hundreds of days, for many years on commercials in NYC had made me feel “successful” but in the Bay I had to slow down and realize that I’d lost my focus. I came into this industry to illicit emotion through storytelling, to connect with people, not solely to view audiences as consumers. “What Chu’ Mixed With” debuted at Grand Lakes Theatre the day after I took a new role in NC, needless to say I’ve been thinking a lot about you guys! Thank you so much @maya_mulatta @creatureveeture @hillaritypierce @kealani777 @bringoutladyem (and @sarahsimkajaffe even though you weren’t on this one, we did so many others, you were so gracious towards a loud New Yorker in a new city) 🙌❤️🙌 taken in San Francisco, California by @conwayjest
