I love trying new coffee creamers at home. I love hazelnut and chocolate together so this was a no brainer of course Harry Potter theme. So, while good this was more hazelnut flavor forward than chocolate. It mixed well with my cold brew but I would have loved balance of the flavor profiles mentioned.

✨ Kathiew, Cambodian Rice Noodle Soup✨My first time making it and both my husband and I enjoyed it. I froze the broth with meatballs for later use. This was my husband second time having it (my mom made it years ago for him to try). Slowly getting Cambodian recipes together, remembering what I grew up on.

Boil beef bones for 15-20 minutes to get rid of gunk/impurities. Then rinse under cold water. Char onions and ginger(I did this in cast iron). In a clean pot add bones back in and add water to the top.
Add: charred onions and ginger
2 tablespoons chicken bouillon powder
2 tablespoons beef bouillon powder
1 tablespoon instant beef soup paste in a jar
2 pieces of rock sugar
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
4 tablespoons fish sauce
1 tablespoon fried garlic
Smashed cilantro stems
Scallions, white part
Carrots cut in big chunks (add at 3 hour mark)
Salt & Pepper
Meatballs (beef with tendon, purchased at Asian market)

Bring to a boil and then turn to medium-low to simmer for 4 hours, once the water starts getting low add more water to the top again. Then add the meatballs if using. After adjust for seasoning. You can strain the broth or not, it’s preference.

What I dress up our bowls with:
Rice noodles
Thinly sliced steak (hot broth cooks the steak)
Fried garlic
Cilantro
Scallions
Culantro
Bean sprouts
Thinly sliced onion
Sriracha
Chili oil
Hoisin sauce
Lime to squeeze over

✨ BBQ Drumsticks ✨ So with football starting back up (NFL and college) everyone always look for a delicious meal to make whether appetizers or entree. I took out some drumsticks from the freezer yesterday, I air fry them up for lunch today. I used @earthquakespices bbq sauce that I got at the food truck battles and it was perfect with the chicken. I need to get more of their hot sauce soon! Easy protein to whip up for game day or meal prep for the week.

✨ Yelp Experience: Flight of Fancy @maydancafe ✨ Another fun experience put together by @yelpsyracuse, thank you Angela! I brought my oldest with me since she loves trying new places like her mom lol. This is such a cute cafe, so spacious and inviting as you walked in. I loved that they show case local businesses, where you can purchase their items as well. I appreciate that they show where they source their ingredients within NYS. Also enjoyed that they had books and other items for kids to keep our little ones occupied.

We opted to take our flight to go, and it held up well in the car. The flight option is great to try different items on their menu. We enjoyed everything, everything was flavorful. My oldest really loved the smoothie and crepe. I enjoyed the breakfast wrap but smoothie was delicious as well (good consistency, as well as the crepe). I purchased their seasonal coffee drink the caramel apple crisp iced latte. That was delicious with perfect apple flavor (definitely recommend). I cruised the menu prior and I loved that they have plant based and gluten free option since I like to recommend places to our friends and family if they’re in the area. The owner was super sweet and welcoming when we were ordering.

✨ @skeletonbee.cafe ✨ After crying my eyes out from dropping off our youngest at preschool for his first day, I told my husband let’s try a new breakfast spot. I’ve been following them for awhile and everything they post looks amazing! My husband and I enjoyed the breakfast sandwiches we had, and to be honest I’m not a huge bagel sandwich person( my husband is though). We both appreciate the ratio of bagel to filling. Major bonus points was the friendly service we received! Definitely stop in if you’re downtown, they have breakfast and lunch options.

✨ @artontheporches ✨ Our first time attending Art on the Porches and we’ll definitely make it back again. I brought along my oldest since she’s into all the artsy stuff, and to show her what she can accomplish with her drawing and paintings. We had to stop by our favorite food trucks to grab a drink and bite to eat before browsing. Thanks to @savorcuse for putting on a great curated menu specials with the food trucks!

This is a great community event with all the beautiful artwork, live music with local musicians and the beautiful neighborhood it’s hosted in. Definitely add it to your list to support your local art community.

Lunchbox and after school snacks are ready! I enjoyed the fudge filled ones (one thing for me was it was a bit too crumbly) and the crunch bar combo was delicious (the family’s favorite). We love a good cookie in this house, whether homemade or store bought were not complaining. Are you team crunch or fudge?!

Garden season for us is winding down, I don’t usually plant fall items(saved our mini pumpkin seeds for next year). I’m glad we were able to share what we grew with others this year!

@idolridgewinery is a new place to me but they happened to be owned by the same family that owns my favorite winery Montezuma Winery! I was invited as well to stop by to try one of their cocktails. I was recommended the peach bourbon smash (frozen drink). I love anything peach, I mean I’m trying to grow peaches in my backyard 😆, so this drink was up my alley. This drink was amazing, I’m not a huge bourbon drinker but this cocktail had the perfect amount of bourbon and refreshing peach flavor for summer. My husband is a bourbon drinker and he really enjoyed this. So stop by their tent by the Chevy Court during the fair.

Make Idol Ridge Winery a stop on your next wine tour in the FingerLakes. Your girl will because I spotted espresso martini on their menu 😍!

@nysfair we came, we ate and the kids rode all the rides! Until next year 🎡✌🏼💋!

@peacheysbakingco | we got the donuts too, had to try their pretzel 🥨 amazing! I didn’t need any cheese or mustard.

@blfoodtruck | y’all know we had to stop here, the brown cow for me (my husband actually like it too, he’s not a chocolate person), my favorite people made my oldest chocolate milk w/cold foam 😍.

@lock1distillingcompany | this was my husband’s choice, i forgot the name but it was a creamsicle thing lol. They have good food at their brick & mortar as well.

@maandpaskettlecorn | kids favorite and their go to, blue razz lemonade and bucket of fries from Spud Shack. We didn’t make it to try their funnel cake smashed burger so that’ll be for next year!

@tossnfirepizza | those deep fried garlic knots 🤤 and my oldest has been waiting for the dill pickle wings since last year lol.
@seasonedgreen | new vendor and fully vegan food truck, that sesame sweet heat clucker 😍! Perfect balance with the heat and sweet sauce. Disclaimer I am NOT a vegan or vegetarian, I just like good food.
