Flavor day in culinary school! I absolutely loved making miso-glazed eggplant, sweet and spicy nuts, and a two-ingredient chocolate pudding made with just melted chocolate and water.

So much fun experimenting with different flavor combinations and learning how salt, sweet, sour, bitter, and umami each play a role in building flavor and bringing a dish together. taken in Boston, Massachusetts by @cookedbyadelaide

Fish day 🐟 We started the day at Red’s Best in Seaport getting a behind-the-scenes look at how local seafood goes from the boat to being cleaned, prepared, and ready for customers every day.

Then we headed back to the kitchen and got to work ourselves, practicing how to properly cut, sear, grill, and fry different types of fish. A very hands-on day and definitely one of my favorites so far!!
