In a Julie and Julia esque fashion I have challenged myself to make all the bakes from The Great British Bake Off. Follow along let’s see how I do.

Where are all my savory people?! Here in the south spicy little cheese straws are a staple. The perfect little snack to pair with a glass of wine and friend for girl talk. Or just nibbling on through the day. Everyone has their own recipe and I’ve yet to find one I haven’t liked. These were made round , finger shapes and in flat cracker shape. All were yummy!!!

When you’re baking and your little helper gets into the baking cabinet and gets some M&Ms. You don’t get mad, you get pictures! She was in heaven trying to grab as many as she could before they got swept up!!

Take a little chocolate, add a little dried fruit and a couple nuts and you have a yummy little treat. Super easy and fun to make. Dried fruit just elevates your chocolate bars!! Which would you chose milk or white chocolate?

When the color of the month is white tea time needs a beautiful white pavlova. The fresh fruit on a banana cream are refreshing in the summer. But nothing compares to the crunch of the pavlova then getting into the marshmallow lime center. One of our favorite treats! And of course the bonus of… gluten free so it can be enjoyed by all.

Watch the hashtag to see some incredible talent.

The little”blue” monsters are eating all the chocolate chip cookies! Little do they know, they’re next! The collab color of the month is blue! I decided to practice my macaroons. They are definitely not for the faint of heart! I used the @preppykitchen recipe and they are wonderful! I filled them with cookie dough truffle and vanilla buttercream. Such a yummy little treat to put a smile on your face! Made me smile that I got feet on them.

Lemons the little tart fruit that brings a bit of brightness to bake goods, and they are a favorite of my hubby! So light, fluffy lemon cupcakes with homemade lemon curd and Swiss Buttercream was a perfect little treat for him! Sometime the simple things are best.

Made with love for all the amazing dads and father figures 💙👔

When someone you love asks for cupcakes you make cupcakes. Rich, decadent chocolate cupcakes with chocolate hazelnut filling and deep, dark fudgy frosting. Bonus is they are light and fluffy and you would never guess they’re gluten free. Just a little something to put a smile on her face!

You can count on these bringing back memories of a simpler time. Certain things you bake just make you smile. I remember having a whoopie pie sitting outside an Amish store in Lancaster, PA and watching a horse and buggy go past. It seems life a lifetime ago!! But I still remember how good that whoopie pie tasted! I adapted this recipe from @Preppykitchen…I love all his recipes.

Purple, it’s the color of royalty, it’s luxurious and powerful. It’s also the color of the month. Here’s a question though why do they call them blueberries when they make such a deep beautiful purple compote? Put that delicious blueberry compote on top of a cheesecake filling with a pecan base and you have quite a yummy dessert! Don’t forget to top it with a little buttercream decorations just to make it look a little more special.

Happy Cinco de Mayo! Wishing you friends a day filled with tequila, tacos and music! And of course you must end with something sweet, tres leches! I blended some recipes of cuatro leches and tres leches to come up with a beautiful coconut salted caramel tres leches. Not super sweet and lightly soaked. It was a huge hit!
