When the holiday hustle’s got you exhausted… 🎄✨ Let’s make Christmas effortless! I’m diving into a quick feast: roasted leg of lamb, SPAR roasted veg & couscous, beetroot-baby-spinach salad with blanched carrots 🥕 and green beans, plus a sweet finish of poached nectarines in rooibos-granadilla sauce. All thanks to SPAR’s ready-to-cook range - because the only thing we should be stressing about is the sparkle on the tree.

Traditional peppermint tart

1 packet (200g) Tennis biscuits
1 can (360g) caramel
500 ml fresh cream
1 large bar (150g) Peppermint Crisp Chocolate

1. Prepare a medium rectangular cake tin or any dish with non-stick spray.
2. Line the bottom of the dish with single layer of biscuits.
3. Use a fork to beat the caramel until smooth. Spread half the caramel evenly over the biscuits.
4. Whisk the cream until stiff peaks form and spread half over the caramel.
5. Grate half of the chocolate over the cream.
6. Repeat the layers ending with the grated chocolate.
7. Cover with cling wrap and chill for at least one hour to allow the tart to set the tastier it will be. by @cookingwithfuni

Butter, rolling pins, and a whole lot of skill! 🥐✨

Days 1 & 2 of our pastry module were packed with delicious learning:

🥧 Day 1: Classic Quiche Lorraine & Salmon en Croute. The students mastered making their own flaky puff pastry and shortcrust from scratch!

🍓 Day 2: Sweet Custard Fruit Tart & Mixed Berry Pie. From rich sweet pastry to light, silky custard and a bursting berry filling—the techniques were flowing!

Which one are you grabbing a slice of first? 👇
