What's the biggest myth you have heard about MSG? 👀 Let's discuss 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

Will I argue with MSG haters in the comments? Every single time.

MSG has been catching strays for decades because of a debunked study from years ago. Meanwhile, tomatoes, cheese, and mushrooms are packed with natural glutamate and nobody's boycotting pizza.
MSG is literally just a flavor enhancer, it has less sodium than salt, more umami, and used in kitchens worldwide. Some people may have sensitivities, and that's valid. But for the rest of us? It's a game changer. The science is clear. The fear is outdated. I said what I said.

Let me break down this fried rice recipe for you to try!

Ingredients:

· 3 large eggs
· 1 medium onion, diced
· 1 capsicum (bell pepper), chopped
· 2 cups frozen mixed veg (peas, carrots, beans)
· 3 cups day-old cooked rice (jasmine or long grain)
· 2 tbsp soy sauce
· 1 tbsp ketchup
· 1 tsp chili powder (adjust to heat preference)
· 1 tsp MSG (yes, full teaspoon. deal with it.)
· ½ tsp garam masala (because I do what I want)
· ½ cup cooking oil (vegetable or sesame)

Steps:
3 eggs scrambled in hot oil.
Onion and capsicum chopped unevenly because we're not perfect.
Frozen peas carrots beans mix because fresh is overrated when you're busy.
Day-old rice (yes, day old, it's called texture).
Soy sauce for salt. Ketchup for sweetness. Chili powder for heat. MSG for SOUL.
Garam masala because I'm unhinged like that.
Toss it. Plate it. Serve it. Zero measuring. Zero apologies.

Is this authentic? Nope.
Is it delicious? Absolutely.
Will I argue with MSG haters in the comments? Every single time.

MSG is over HATED. Uncle Roger would understand. Gordon Ramsay would scream. I'd cook it again tomorrow.

Easy fried rice recipe. 15 minute meal. Quick dinner idea. One pan recipe. High protein meal. Meal prep friendly. Comfort food. Busy night dinner. Pantry staple recipe. Beginner friendly cooking. Asian fusion at home. MSG recipes. Umami flavor bomb. Leftover rice recipe. Student meal. Budget meal. Better than takeout.

🔥 My hot take: Indomie > Buldak. And I’ll die on this spicy noodle hill. 🍜
Tell me, do you prefer Indomie or Buldak? 👇

I made cheesy spicy noodles + eggs again, but instead of the usual Buldak, I used @indomieae 's spicy gourmet noodles. Creamy, eggy, fiery, and way more balanced. Buldak is great for the challenge, but Indomie? That’s everyday comfort with the right heat.

Full recipe (save this👇):

Ingredients:
• 2 packs Indomie (black spicy)
• 1 egg
• Spreadable cheese
• 2 cheese slices
• Sesame (optional)
• Splash of milk

Steps:

1. Boil 2 cups water, add 2 noodle packs
2. When semi-wet, add powder + chili oil from both packs, mix well
3. Add a few dallops of milk, mix
4. Add a few dallops of spreadable cheese, mix
5. Make a small spot in the noodle soup, crack egg into it, let it cook
6. Once egg is cooked, add 2 cheese slices, mix everything together
7. Top with sesame (optional), enjoy

Try it and thank me later. Tell me - Indomie or Buldak? 👇

🎥 Save this for your next noodle night

Viral egg ema datshi✨️

Ema datshi is the national dish of Bhutan and it literally translates to "chillies and cheese". It's creamy, spicy and highly comforting! When I found out that it could be made with eggs, I knew I had to try it asap. So so good, absolute must try!

Ingredients:
• 1 tbsp oil
• 2 cloves garlic, sliced
• 2 onion, sliced
• 2-3 green chillies, sliced (or to taste
• 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
• 1 tsp chili flakes
• 1 cheese slice
• 1 tbsp cream cheese
• Splash of water
• 3-4 whole eggs
• Spring onion and pepper for garnish
• Croissant or Toast for serving

Steps:
1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic onions, and green chillies. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant and slightly softened.
2. Add salt, chili flakes, cream cheese, cheese slice, and a splash of water. Stir until everything melts into a spicy, creamy sauce. Let it bubble for a minute.
3. Crack your eggs directly on top of the cheesy mixture. Don't stir just let them sit.
4. Lower the heat, cover with a lid, and cook until the egg whites are set but the yolks are still runny (about 3-5 mins).
5. Garnish with fresh sprouts and chopped spring onion.
6. Serve hot with toast for dipping. Break that yolk and let it mix into the sauce.
