Happy birthday to the 👸🏻!!! Being @susanlong218 daughter has been the greatest gift of my life. She has taught me about unconditional love, loyalty, strength, and perseverance. My knowledge was gained not with my ears, but with my eyes. My mother is the most authentic representation of every one of those characteristics and for 39 years I have been lucky enough to bear witness to it. She continues to be my life line in every sense of the word. Happy birthday to my favorite person and the one us three got so endlessly lucky enough to call mom. What a ride. I became an aunt and BG was brought into the world 🩷. Three months to the day after that miracle we said goodbye to Dad. We celebrated Bert’s wedding with my oldest and dearest friends. I was working in rehab which brought me Martha. We turned 30. I went to Jamaica with my husband and my Bieber and Bear and really wonderful people to celebrate. I leaned the hardest I ever have into my family and my friends and those bonds were life changing. I realized you can mourn and celebrate simultaneously. I lost my Dad at the beginning of the year and found out I was pregnant with Clayton at the end. To everything, turn, turn, turn. 🌈 by @coomerhailee

For 13 years I have felt safe, heard, held, and free. Safe in our love, heard in our conversations, held through the struggles, and free to grow and change and find me… and then celebrated for being exactly that person. I’ve never once been asked to be smaller (in size or personality), quieter, or less than I am in any sense. As a female, you know what kind of man it takes to make you feel that way… a real one. I’ve got the realest, and I couldn’t thank you enough or love you more than I do today @djcoomer . What you’ve given to me cannot be bought or ever taken away. Oh I… get a funny feeling when she walks in the room 🎶. Boy, do I feel that! Emily is my Friday feeling, electric bond, deepest diary, and best friend. I’ve spent countless moments and made endless memories with her and I can honestly say I am just as excited to see her walk in the room today as I’ve ever been.
