Such an incredible time was had, and special shoutout to @the.rivermonae for not only creating this space but also for so graciously letting me borrow your pole for this number ❤️‍🔥 This number is a tribute to queer love and marriage and is in itself a marriage of my two favorite passions in life, pole and drag ❤️‍🔥🫀 As always: FUCK 🧊. R̶e̶f̶l̶e̶c̶t̶i̶o̶n̶…̶ ̶̶(̶p̶t̶.̶3̶/̶3̶)̶ As I look back on, or reflect rather, on these last three years as a whole, I found myself feeling, honestly, overwhelmed. Drag is ups and downs, it is a reckoning and recognizing of yourself that occurs, with your own queerness, your own ability to create from within. But I also find myself feeling full of love. Of a love that has also formed within myself, for my own reflection. Drag is what allowed me to sit in front of a mirror for the first time since I was a small child and not just tear myself apart while doing so. Drag is what allowed me to sit in front of my own reflection, and for the first time ever, smile back at what I saw in front of me. Drag is what has helped me step into myself as the queer and trans person that I am. Drag, what I do in drag, in so many ways has been the only safe place for my true reflection of self to exist. And that has pushed me to not only feel surrounded by community and love others around me, but to also truly and actually commit to loving myself as well. I know I sound like a bit of a broken record at this point after three full posts of me just gushing about how important this art form and community are to me… but I think it’s important in this time of uncertainty (and of the literal collapse of our current societal systems given that it is now the 250th year of this empire and we are NOT an exception to history… but anyways) to reflect on what does bring you strength, gratitude, and love. It is this art that grounds me, and has grounded me throughout these last 3 years. I am so thankful for each and every one of you, especially if you took the time to read through all of this rambling 🫀 As always: FUCK 🧊. FREE 🇵🇸. FUCK AI. FREE 🇨🇬. FREE ALL OPPRESSED PEOPLES. Bird Vs Coop!! Kings and things deserve to be in every space! I've been doing drag for three years but I feel as though I haven't been doing DOING drag until more recently. Starting when @drumstiqck challenged me with a mix. Making me actually learn the tech o knowledge ly. And from a random message from @coopdevilheaux . Becoming his twin and learning his gloves were made from leggings. I sewed my first garment a glove. To now a whole bird. From twin to son/twin. I've learned so much from him and the Haus of Heaux. I know it's not all about looks, but through that one glove, I've found Bird. I've learned there's a more human esque Hummingbird and a more creature esque Hummingbird. It was always in me, I just needed a little nudge. And that do be okay! I loved making this duet with Coop! We used a song he had wanted to do since he started drag! I love this fking duet!!!! Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!! (I do in fact have a smaller head than Coop 😄) 📸: @lambperson 🎥: @shrimp_dog_tattoos by @coopdevilheaux

A full clown operation 🤡😷🩻 Swipe to the end for new reaction images/to see through my expressions that I, in fact, HAVE grown tired of this body 🦴🎈 National clown day was such a pleasure thank you @ritzy.clown for inviting myself and @thehausofheaux to participate in this full clown event. I won’t lie, this year was hard. National clown day fell on the day after I lost my grandmother and if I’m being real I didn’t really feel like clowning around, but, as drag always does, it healed me. It helped me process my trauma and grief and the fears I have about one day having my own body fail me, about how she must’ve felt as hers failed her. This number was a love letter to not only to her, but to anyone who’s ever felt like just giving their flesh vessel away to be free of it. 🫀 Huge shoutout and thanks to @sirensideshow for not only being my surgeon but also helping me to create this monster of a prop in only 2 days before the show. And of course a special thanks to my son @hummingbirdkingthing for helping to hold that prop up when it wouldn’t stand again after being folded to be put into my car for travel (sorry for trampling you at the end 🥹🫀) 📸 by @cloveybugphotography thank you for capturing these moments and faces 🫶 #clown #drag #dragking #dragclown #nationalclownday by @coopdevilheaux
We’re bringing back fan favorite theme with our Unconventional night @thebarzarre this Saturday, August 15th! Come see what happens when you let drag performers put ANYTHING on the stage. I specifically ask for people to bring numbers that should’ve stayed in their notes app; unhinged, un-watchable, or just plain stupid drag, all for your enjoyment 🤡 Joining us for a night of debauchery: @hummingbirdkingthing @thekarabao @coopdevilheaux @neytiri_victoria @norvina.bram @zlurpl Come see some of the best worst drag NC has to offer 🙂 #drag #dragshow #nc #dragthing #altdrag by @coopdevilheaux
