Independence Day Regatta Recap ➡️➡️➡️

The CJRC Summer Competitive Program
raced at IDR on the Schuylkill River this weekend.

We came away from the regatta with 11 crews advancing to the Semi-Finals, 3 grand finalists, 2 photo finish wins, and 1 podium placement 🎉

It was a great way to wrap up an excellent training block; the athletes raced hard, learned some lessons, made some memories, and had fun finding new limits!

The Cooper kids have been busy this summer!

Our summer competitive program has been getting in the mileage in small boats over the last month. They'll be wrapping up their training block at the Independence Day Regatta next Friday-Sunday 😎

2026 USRowing Youth National Championships Recap ➡️➡️➡️

Cooper Juniors ended the season yesterday earning medals in two events & new program bests in four more!

The Men's Pair capped off an excellent weekend of racing with the club's FIRST EVER U19 & Sweep side medal - placing second in the country!! Congratulations to seniors Hayden Lyons & Dylan Faulk for making club history before going off to college🥈🎉😎

The Women's U17 2x wrapped up their fun filled race weekend by placing third in the country!! Sadie Greenleaf & Campbell Cohen were the only athletes on the team to double up & race two events at the national championship, taking 25th place in our women's V8+ by winning the D final as well. Congratulations ladies!🥉🎉😤

New Program Bests:

- Both Women's varsity quads improved on last year's results: The 2V4x placed 10th and our V4x cracked the top ten for the first time with a B final win, earning 9th place 💯

- Both U16 coxed quads raced in the B final, with the Boys taking 11th and the Girls taking 10th overall 🙌

Special Shout-Out to our Girls U16 4x+ for becoming pros at beach docking after their race was interrupted by storms not once, but twice. Way to stay calm and go with the flow ladies!

Thank You to our parents, chaperones, & drivers for taking care of the athletes & coaches all weekend. You helped make this championship as successful as it was, and we are so grateful for your time and energy!

Last but not least- thank you @rpungello for the incredible pictures of the racing & every moment in between.
