Heavy has me in a chokehold and I’m not fighting it. Still looping the playlist like I’m trying to live inside the story.

And there was me thinking I’d just move on… then “take on the world” comes on and suddenly I’m right back in it, sobbing to the lyrics and feeling all the feels.

Read it on my Kindle but I absolutely needed the trophy for my shelf. Some books just deserve a physical spot after what they do to you. And this one does it all.

I don’t think there will ever be a day I’m not thinking about Ronan & Calista, or singing in my head to crying while you’re dancing or blood sport…

Cat and Mouse✨

One of my very first dark romance series. Let’s start with Satans Affair. This one, for me, was strange as f*ck. There were plenty of times my eyes widened and I snorted with laughter trying to make sense of what I was reading. Despite this, I came to love Sibby, and I was grateful I read this one later on.
“He looks at me like I’m insane. That hurts my feelings.”🙃

Haunting Adeline introduced me to Zade Meadows, and years later, he is definitely still on the top ten book boyfriends list, and I am beyond excited to see how he is portrayed in the movie.
“Let me know which stars you prefer. The ones above you, or the ones I make you see” 🤭

Hunting Adeline was so intense… the first part was almost unbearable. It was hope that kept me going. And I was so glad I pushed through because all of these stories and characters mixed together is phenomenal.
“I don’t care if I need to set this world on fire until there’s no one left but you and me. The world will burn around us, and I’ll gladly live in chaos with you as long as the only person that is a danger to you is me.” 🔥

And finally, there’s Wheres Molly. Definitely my favourite of them all. Something about Molly’s story has claimed a special place in my heart. Her relationship with Cage was beautiful.
“Because staring into her eyes is the only thing I needed, to convince myself she’s everything I’ll ever want for as long as oxygen invades my lungs. I knew it deep in my bones the day I met her. Even back then, my soul immediately recognized hers as its other half.” 🥺

The only one left to read is Phantom, which I’ve honestly been putting off, because I don’t want this journey to be over! I’m not ready…

Author spotlight ✨

If L. J. Shen writes it, you can bet I’m gonna read it. This is just half of the collection I currently have. I’m working my way up to owning EVERYTHING she’s written.

It makes me so happy to see all of the beautiful Special Editions (mostly in America) that I’m forever trying to get my hands on and I got super lucky with The Kiss Thief (l snagged this beaut on Vinted). L. J. Shen has her own search in my Vinted that I check daily 🤣 this girl had massive FOMO when it comes to grabbing deluxe copies of books!

My favourite of hers is definitely Beautiful Graves - that one completely moved me, warmed my heart and stole a piece of it along the way 🤍

Last. Now. Next. ✨

I’ve just finished Love Antidote and honestly, if Brynne writes it, I’m gonna read it. She’s never let me down yet.

This evening, I’m jumping straight into The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood. You all said read it first then watch it so that’s my plan! I’ve only read the first chapter so far, I’m liking the writing style and I’m certainly intrigued by Olive! I’m going into this one with as little information as possible so I have no idea what to expect.

And once I’ve finished that it’s onto Stray by D.J. Krimer is next. This one has been highly recommend by so many people, especially @farrahsbooksandthings that I just can’t resist it any longer. There’s only so many times you can still a book so positively recommended and not pick it up.

My TBR really said sleep?! Who needs that! Apparently not me…

Book review ✨

Two assassins, a little poison and a whole lot of chaos… what could possibly go wrong?! 😂

Love Antidote was such a fun, quick and easy read. I flew through it, and I loved the mix of rom-com, danger and spice. It somehow manages to be completely chaotic while still having a genuinely great plot that kept me interested. And for a total of 62 pages, it’s pretty impressive.

The two-assassin setup was definitely one of my favourite things about it. Add in poison, questionable decisions and a spicy scene that definitely delivered, and you’ve got a pretty entertaining combination.

Brynne Weaver really knows how to make murder feel weirdly romantic. 🖤

Cosy Kindle nights🩷

Cooler nights, comfy pyjamas, a good book on my Kindle, a cup of Yorkshire tea and absolutely nowhere else I’d rather be.

And if the book happens to have one bed, forced proximity and second chance romance… well, that’s just a bonus.

Honestly, this is my idea of a perfect evening.

The answer to “what makes you happy” will always be my pup and her sweet, freshly fluffed ears. 🥹

My gorgeous girl is fourteen and a half and fairly deaf, but still loves to drag me around for a stroll and jump around like she’s a puppy.

She will never accept that someone can just walk past her without stopping to give her a fuss.
She will always look for a blanket to get cosy under.
She will forever be the best reading buddy.
