Today's showcase of the COPIC AWARD 2026 finalist. ⁠ Today's artwork pick is リンゴ野郎's レモン アヒル⁠ ⁠ Finalist Comment: I've been really into ducks lately, so I created this artwork with ducks as the theme.⁠ I wondered if even cute ducks might look scary if there were a lot of them together, and that idea inspired the artwork.⁠ I struggled with expressing light and dark with Copic markers, as it’s something I’m not very good at, but I think I’ve created my best work yet. Today’s showcase of the COPIC AWARD 2026 finalist. ⁠ Today’s artwork pick is elquijoteART’s Summer Memories⁠ ⁠ Finalist Comment: Every time I’m entering a free theme contest, the most difficult part is to decide: what to draw? It doesn’t matter as long as it goes with my art philosophy: ‘The beauty of human imperfection is so unique that hides details that you may need to see it several times to find.’⁠ ⁠ I wanted the Copic colors to shine. The inspiration kicked in on a trip to a small artisan town, where I got captivated by colorful wooden yo yos, imagining them as fish scales. They were perfect because I could use all the colors without restrictions. I wanted the drawing to tell a story for itself, creating patterns, flying objects, colors. Today's showcase of the COPIC AWARD 2026 finalist. ⁠ Today's artwork pick is Alizarin's Warmth Through the Rain⁠ ⁠ Finalist Comment: "Warmth Through the Rain" is a marker painting depicting a cozy bistro on a wet evening. Achieved through layered and blended marker techniques, colors were built up in multiple applications, allowing mixing on paper to create subtle gradations, deep shadows, and luminous light. The warm interior glows against the cool, damp street, evoking inviting comfort. I love walking around there and seeing the waterways that I don't see in my neighborhood, and that inspired me to draw this piece. Today's showcase of the COPIC AWARD 2026 finalist. ⁠ Today's artwork pick is ほうき星鉄道・車䞡郚の猫's 䞍敵なミヌちゃん⁠ ⁠ Finalist Comment: I originally started this piece out of a simple curiosity about what kind of atmosphere would emerge if I placed a mixed-breed kitten in a luxurious room. But as I continued drawing, ideas kept flowing from the tip of my pen, and I had the strange feeling that the piece was coming together naturally on its own. Today’s showcase of the COPIC AWARD 2026 finalist. ⁠ Today’s artwork pick is Amy Lopez’s What the world needs now⁠ ⁠ Finalist Comment: The world needs LOVE now more than ever. In a world full of hate we need to focus on LOVE and acceptance. Everyone in my family loves naan, so we have a special “Naan Day” once a month, and we always look forward to going out for it.⁠ I paid particular attention to the charred texture of the naan. Another detail I focused on was the use of color in my family’s faces.
