Before basketball, before business, before entrepreneurship —

There was theatre.

That was my first love, my escape, my way to express myself when life felt heavy. I remember elementary and middle school days, pouring my heart into every line, fueled by my mom’s smile. Late nights memorizing lines, sometimes forgetting them on stage — but always pushing forward.

I had the privilege of meeting the legendary @bobby.mcferrin — he showed me how to perform with freedom, how to let go and be in the moment. Mimicking his beats, playing with sound — I fell in love with the craft of creating, of storytelling.

But life pulled me in a different direction. Growing up in Chicago (and Minneapolis), I thought basketball was my way out. So I put theatre aside & chased hoops.

Yet, deep down, I knew I couldn’t ignore my true passion.

In 2018/2019, I sat down for dinner with inspiring filmmakers—Matt Tolmach, @chineseguy88, Jake Kasdan and @dbmanpearl - while working on a film deal with @lakers legend Andre Ingram. Their stories reignited my fire, reminding me of how much I still had to give to the arts. When @deadline wrote about us, it was a pivotal moment that pushed me to chase my dreams — acting and filmmaking, for purpose and joy.

In 2021, I made a vow:

I’m doing this for me.

No fame, no validation — just love for the arts.

I started small — @48hourfilmproject, connecting with filmmakers, acting in short films and commercials, hiring coaches, auditioning. Every experience, every setback, every win — they all bring me closer.

Building an IMDb, working to earn SAG credits, paid and unpaid — it’s all part of the grind. And I love every step of it.

Now, I dream bigger:

🎬 Lead roles in feature films,
🎥 Working with legends,
🌍 Attending Cannes,
🏆 Winning an Oscar — to tell stories that inspire and connect.

This isn’t just my story — it’s for every actor, filmmaker, dreamer fighting to start, grow, and be seen. Keep going. Trust the process. Believe in your talents.

God blessed me with this gift, and I’m here to explore it, grow in it, and share it.

🚀🎥 Just wrapped an incredible commercial / ad with T-Mobile — and honestly, it was one of the most fun shoots I’ve ever done!

This project hit all the right notes — I got to act and get my cardio in all at once, running 🏃🏽‍♂️ for hours in the stunning landscape of Port Angeles, Washington. 🌲🌊 The crew was absolutely phenomenal — friendly, uplifting, and top-tier professionals who made every moment enjoyable.

What made it even better? After my scene, they invited me to stay, enjoy another meal with the team, and support the other actors and crew— most people pack up and leave, but I loved soaking in the energy and witnessing everyone bring their A-game. Also had a chance to meet an incredible drone team that I am hoping we collaborate on @7spurs_intheatres

Seeing myself on a national stage feels unreal — I’m pumped to show my mom, dad, and especially my nephews, so they can see what hard work and perseverance yields 💪🏽🙏🏽

7/7. 🤠🎬

About two years ago today, I took a leap of faith and began the journey of creating 7 Spurs - an independent feature western 🎥

Like many things I’ve pursued in life, I started with a vision much bigger than my experience. I didn’t fully know what I was getting myself into... I trusted God, took the first step, and kept going.

Looking back, I’m filled with gratitude.

Thank you to everyone who’s been part of this journey - whether you were there at the beginning, joined somewhere along the trail, or recently found us.

Whether you’ve encouraged us, prayed for us, contributed, shared an idea, made an introduction, or simply believed in this dream... you’ve helped move 7 Spurs forward. And I dont take that for granted.

I’ve made mistakes, and I’ll make more. That’s part of creating something meaningful. Every challenge has stretched me, humbled me, and made me a better storyteller, leader, and person.

One thing I know for certain...

I won’t stop until @7spurs_intheatres is the best film we can make. My hope is to bring a cinematic western to the silver screen - and to build a community of people who believe in encouraging one another, creating together, and chasing something bigger than themselves.

The best part...

We’re only getting started.

Auditioned the chorus… ended up singing the whole song on set about 30 times 😅🎶 and somehow a piece made it into the commercial — I’ll take it haha.

Had an amazing time on this West Virginia tourism shoot — white water rafting, unreal views, and great energy all around.

Grateful I got to sing in this one and share it with an incredible cast and crew — made every moment fun (even in the water lol).

And yeah… Country Roads just hits different when you’re really out there. 🌄🎬
