breaking down medusa step by step… snakes, lips, armor
from messy shapes to clean forms, that’s literally the whole trick 😭

Lowkey been living in this file for weeks 💀 soo... finally sharing the process behind this splash art!!
character design is always a puzzle u know? but figuring out the group dynamic and lighting for a scene like this is the real boss fight swipe for the breakdown guys :) from the first messy silhouette to the final rendering and some material studies ^^

gamedev is essentially just a series of studies that happen to tell a story

really happy with how the mood turned out in the end!! ✨

I think I accidentally drew the girl I wanted to be at 16 🖤

The hair, the attitude, the bubble tea... I'm obsessed with her

When I was a kid, I could spend hours outside making up stories about places that didn’t exist.
A strange tree could be someone’s house. A path behind the fence could lead to another world. And I was completely sure that if I wandered far enough, I’d find something magical there.
I think a little piece of that kid still ends up in everything I paint.
So when I was working on this book cover, I wanted it to feel like one of those afternoons. Warm, quiet, a little strange… like you’ve just found a place you weren’t supposed to know about

I’m still in shock

It seemed like a completely normal commission. The client gave me a brief, and I started sketching. They didn’t like the first pose. Or the second. Then a few more. Finally, we landed on a concept we both liked. I was so happy, finished the final render, and thought that was it

Then I found out they had run my art through AI, trained it on my style, and used it to render the rest of my rejected sketches ..
Like… what am I even supposed to do with this?

Would you name the client, or just leave the whole thing here? by @coralkate.art

60 min sketch, 10 hours of rendering!
I went a little crazy with this one, but I love the result 😭

Guys, I talked to the team at Redby Art and we decided to try something new for my Patreon students.

From time to time I’ll pick a few people for our internship program. It’s not client work and no one is working for us for free lol. I made this program specifically for learning. You’ll get tasks similar to what artists actually do in a studio, work with deadlines, and get feedback and paintovers from our Senior Artist.

Everything you make is yours and you can use it in your portfolio. The studio doesn’t use or sell any of the work.

If you complete the internship successfully, we can also give you an official recommendation letter.

I wrote everything properly in a free Patreon post because this is already getting way too long lol. Link in bio♥️ by @coralkate.art

You’ve already met her sister.. I posted her here a few days ago. They’re two witches, born with different gifts. One could see the future.
The other could speak to the dead.

They promised never to use their magic on each other.

Then one of them died.
