Even before we had kids in the house, we never used strong scented products because we were so prone to headaches (didn’t know why back then, but now we do).

The market is flooded with scents that are way too strong and made with fragrances that cause way bigger problems than just headaches.

Then there’s the opposite end of the spectrum, where your other option is to use things that smell like vinegar, musty, or NOTHIN

That’s the route we took for yearsss until I found this wellness store!! 😍

No formaldehyde. No phthalates. No petrochemicals. None of the 26 most common fragrance allergens. And everything follows a Safe Scent Standard. I learned that once those ingredients are gone, the issue is gone too.

moms IYKYK. know what it feels like to become a mom and somewhere along the way realize you don’t quite recognize yourself anymore.

For me, the hardest part of postpartum wasn’t just the exhaustion. It was feeling like the parts of me that used to feel so me had gotten buried underneath the diapers, anxiety, schedules and responsibilities, the constant giving.

I’m learning that taking care of myself, finding my style again, doing my makeup, getting out of the house, working toward my goals, laughing more, and remembering who I was before I became “Mom” doesn’t make me selfish.

It reminds me that God made me a whole person before He made me a mother.

So if you’re somewhere in that season right now… I hope you find your way back to her.

When you have the freeing level of GIRL GO POSE BY THAT CACTUS U LOOK SO CUTE kind of friends!!!! 😂

The cute pics and unlimited pampering in an all inclusive resort mansion were really nice don’t get me wrong!! but our retreat this weekend was so much more than that. It was about rest and celebrating and laughing til our stomachs hurt. We don’t just work together we do LIFE together. My mom always told me that who you surround yourself with matters and now I finally know what she meant, xoxoxo by @corarusk

One day, our girls will look back at this box and know it was about so much more than just the stuff we used everyday.

They’ll never know Clorox, Tide or Dawn as the things we reached for. They’ll grow up knowing that the standards we set for our family matter, and that we don’t have to settle for what we’ve always done just because it’s familiar.

They’ll know how important supporting small businesses and faith-based companies is. Where we choose to spend our dollars matters and reflects what we value.

I hope they see their mama building something that stretched her beyond her comfort zone. Something that allowed her to help other women, create opportunities, serve others and believe that she could want more for her family without being ashamed.

And one of the things that makes this box so meaningful to me is knowing that the income it’s building today doesn’t have to end with me. The work I’m putting in now will continue blessing our family and many other families in the future, even when I’m no longer the one doing it every day. It’s teaching them that the work and decisions we make today have an impact far beyond our own lifetime.

This box has changed so much for our family and I hope the example of what it represents stays with our girls long after they’ve grown up ♡ by @corarusk
