Rainbow patina for @rainbow___studios 🌈🔥 Wait till the end to see the final result #rainbow #bronze by @corbet.objet
Tidal ashtray / incense burner Drawing from memories playing in tidal pools a kid, the stepped ripples reflecting little glimmers of light. Intended as either an ashtray or incense burner, the unlacquered dark patina will change and deepen over time Designed and produced for @rainbow___studios in four weeks from concept to completion. by @corbet.objet
I’ve been a huge fan of industrial designer @corbet.objet for a while now. His pieces have this balance of sculptural form and functionality that feels playful, refined and incredibly well made. Designed, cast and finished by hand in his Sydney workshop using materials like solid brass, American walnut and aluminium, every piece brings so much character to a space. I love his work so much that I actually commissioned Ash to create the bespoke metal-plated signage throughout my showroom. We’ve recently restocked a selection of Ashley Corbett-Smith pieces in the gallery. Explore the collection via the link in bio, or email info@kerrieannjones.com to book a showroom visit and experience them in person 🤎 by @corbet.objet

Every year I tell myself I’ll be more organised with Christmas gifting, and every year I still end up curating my list right up until the cut-off. If you’re the same, a quick reminder that Christmas delivery for online orders closes tomorrow at 11:59pm AEDT. I’ve pulled together a curated gift guide with pieces I love, thoughtful design-led objects from local makers, beautifully crafted homewares and a few timeless favourites. Comment ‘gift guide’ and I’ll send you the link, or find it in my bio 🤍 Happy gifting! K-A x Image credits: me, @millymead, @fivefootonedesign, @jacqui_turk, @aliciataylorphotography by @corbet.objet

A beautifully reimagined 1960s beach house in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Newport Residence by @fivefootonedesign is now live on @thelocalproject. The home honours its mid-century architecture while embracing playful, contemporary updates - from restored cedar windows to a blush-toned bathroom with retro mosaics. I styled the interiors to complement its nostalgic charm, layering vintage, artisanal and timeless pieces to enhance the warmth and personality of the space. More from the project via my link in bio. Thrilled to be making something stranger than usual for @craftvictoria Visionaries 2025 exhibition: DONE/UNDONE curated by @joseph_gardner opening on November 14 at Craft. Deeply flattered, definitely not a visionary, but passionately curious, and optimistic that the laws of physics and my hand skills are up to the challenge. by @corbet.objet
Waxing a chess board made from a single piece of brass is almost exactly like waxing a surfboard. Aside from using a blow torch to remove the moisture, and open the pores, brush on a microcrystalline wax developed by the British Museum, waited for it to cool and then buffed it by hand. But aside from that it’s basically identical. #objectdesign #collectabledesign #boardgames #handmade #brass #chess #chessboard by @corbet.objet
