Delighted that our recording of Piers Hellawell’s ‘The Rising of Sirius’ with @robertplane is released today!

Having performed it at @corbridgechamberfest, @theglasshouseicm, @kettlesyard, @riponconcerts, in Scunthorpe, Kelso and on Harris, we’re thrilled to see this fantastic piece now enjoying a new life on disc and being streamed.

‘A surreal aviary’…. What a joyous collaboration with the inspirational author Michael @symmonsroberts last night. So special to link up with such a creative mind who’s been living with #quartetfortheendoftime for as long as the @gouldpianotrio and @robertplane.

And a truly inspirational pre-concert book reading from Michael at our fabulous indie bookshop, @forumbookscorbridge too.

A Messiaen performance with a twist and one to remember for a long time.

Introducing the first our our amazing guests joining @gouldpiantrio and @robertplane at the 2026 Festival. @edcervenka is the leading player of the Cimbalom in the UK and is in demand wherever this quirky instrument is needed! If you’re a fan of #thelordoftherings films then you’ll have already heard his playing portraying Gollum!

Don’t miss him playing Kodaly, Brahms, Kurtag and Debussy.

Back at @wyastonestudio to record our fourth album of the complete piano trios of Heinrich Marschner for @naxosmusic. This time the glorious and melodious no.5 (as heard in the finale clip here!), as well as Lucy and Ben in his epic Grand Duo.

That’s all 7 piano trios recorded now, beautiful discoveries and additions to the repertoire. Two piano quartets to come….
