Well… we only went and SMASHED IT! 🥹🏆

Competing in the Doubles category alongside my best friend @roisinrocksdogs with the absolute best boy, @pawsome_fudge — and somehow we came away with 2ND PLACE! 🥈 🤍

What an experience. So proud of what we created together and of how brilliantly Fudge did. He was an absolute superstar from start to finish. 🐾✨

A huge thank you to the judges and organisers for putting on such an amazing competition and for giving us the opportunity to be part of it.

And of course, the biggest thank you to Fudge’s mum for trusting us with her gorgeous boy and letting us work our magic. 🥹❤️

So grateful, so proud, and already buzzing for the next one! ✂️🐩✨

Let’s get real… ❤️

Why do I do this job?
Why do I compete?

I’ve been grooming for 4½ years now, and it’s been one wild ride. I’ve only been competing for the last 8 months, and I’m incredibly proud to have already achieved two placements.

This past week, though… it nearly broke me.

I had the week from hell. I hit one of the lowest points I’ve had in a long time and honestly wasn’t sure what the future held. I even questioned whether I wanted to continue grooming at all.

But then I started my new job…

And I remembered exactly why I fell in love with this career in the first place. I’m back, I’m happier, and I’m more determined than ever. I won’t let one person, one opinion, or one bad experience take away something I love.
Not everyone is going to like you, and that’s okay. Not everyone deserves a front-row seat to your happiness either.

For me, competitions have never been just about placing. They’re about learning, getting valuable feedback, pushing yourself to improve, and building friendships with people who genuinely support you.

I’m so grateful to have found an amazing circle of groomers who lift each other up instead of tearing each other down. That means more to me than any ribbon ever could.

Am I the best groomer? No.
Do I give every groom 100% of what I’ve got? Absolutely.
Do I have fun? HELL YES. ❤️

At the end of the day, I’m competing against the groom I did yesterday—not anyone else. And as long as I keep learning, improving, and loving what I do, that’s a win in my book.

Keep cheering each other on. There’s room for all of us to succeed. ✂️🐾

✨ PET STYLIST GROOMING COMPETITION ✨

So incredibly happy and proud to have come away with a Special Mention Award for my groom on Loki! 🏆✂️🐩

This was my first time attempting this trim in competition, so to have the judges recognise my work means so much. 🥹

I’ve only been competing for a short time, but I’m loving the challenge, learning with every competition and constantly pushing myself to improve.

A huge thank you to everyone who supports and encourages me — and of course to my gorgeous borrowed boy Loki! 🤍 @shampoochesaylesbury will be forever grateful for the love and support I have from you and allowing me to use your handsome client!

💜✨MASTERGROOM✨💜

Stepped back into the ring and this time took a massive leap… I entered Poodle intermediate and it was a hard class but after the week from hell, and Loki waking the entire hotel up, we got some amazing feedback with only minor touch ups.

I’m so proud of Loki, the first time grooming him and his first ever comp. He is a typical sassy poodle and took everything in his stride. I’m so proud of him

✨Loki✨

Spent the day with @shampoochesaylesbury working in this beautiful boy. Liv is very kindly letting me use him in a grooming competition so spent the day learning the lines 🫶🏼 . Today’s groom definitely isn’t perfect but Loki can be a little fidget bum. very thankful and grateful to have so many great people in this industry behind me ✨ by @corbs.cuts_
