Spotlight on @corcorancorin, Aboriginal artist and designer working at the intersection of art, fashion and healing.

Through ongoing, experimental processes, the label explores growth, trauma, mental health and repair, using recycled, discarded and found materials to reveal beauty in transformation. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind work of wearable art, created slowly over months or years and carrying deep personal and material histories.

Proud Weilwan woman and multidisciplinary artist Corin Corcoran (@corcorancorin), took part in the Closing Showcase of Melbourne Fashion Week 2025 on Sunday. 👏🏾

Renowned for her sustainable approach to fashion, Corcoran’s designs embrace bold colour palettes and rich textures, often giving new life to up-cycled materials while telling compelling stories through clothing.

Her aesthetic blends gothic drama with romantic elegance, featuring structured corsets and flowing dresses that feel both timeless and raw, reminiscent of Renaissance artistry with an edgy, contemporary twist. ✨
