This post took a while because I wanted to get it right, I’m sure it’s still imperfect.

First and foremost, giving all honor, glory, and praise to God.

Without You, none of this would have been possible. You have been my way in, my way out, and my way out of no way. You opened doors for me that I didn’t even see for myself. Every time You told me to trust You and take the step, You handled the rest.

Even during the moments where life felt heavy and I didn’t know if I would make it through, You carried me. Through every setback, every lesson, every accomplishment, and every moment of doubt… it was You.

And somehow, You still continue to carry me while I learn, grow, stumble, and navigate this life day by day.

Your grace kept me here.

To my Mommy… thank you for never letting up on me. Thank you for the long talks, the tough love, the prayers, and the constant push toward greatness. You taught me perseverance, discipline, and how to keep going even when life gets hard.

To my Daddy… thank you for being present, supportive, and intentional. Thank you for showing me strength, manhood, and leadership. You always had a way of helping me receive the lesson while still feeling loved through it all.

To my grandparents, aunts, and uncles… thank y’all for always pouring into me, loving me, supporting my parents, and helping guide me throughout life. Your prayers, encouragement, and presence mattered more than you know.

And to my friends… thank y’all for being my laughter, my safe place away from home, and such a meaningful part of my college journey. The love and memories we created will stay with me forever.

Lastly, to the friends and family who wanted to be there physically but couldn’t… I still felt your love and support every step of the way.

And to Florida A&M University…

Thank you for stretching me, grounding me, and growing me.

FAMU was always my number one school. Even before the transfer, before the move, before I knew exactly how everything would work out… this was where I wanted to be.

And now, being able to say I came here, built a life here, grew here, and completed the journey here…

I came searching for opportunity and left with purpose, memories, lifelong connections, and a version of myself that the younger me would be proud of.

Strike, strike, and strike again.🐍

Stepping onto a new campus as a transfer, I could’ve played it safe… that’s not me though.

Taking that leap into the Mr. 1913 Pageant for the Real Beta Alpha Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. became one of the most defining parts of my journey. What started as a risk turned into real growth, pushing me into a more confident and purposeful version of myself.

Being crowned Mr. Crimson and Cream for the 2024–2025 academic year is an honor I’ll carry with me forever. Serving on the royal court and representing something bigger than myself meant everything.

To my pageant brothers… the late rehearsals, accountability, pressure, laughs, and growth… we built something real. A bond that went beyond the stage.

To my court brothers, it was a privilege to reign alongside you.

And to my Miss Crimson and Cream, @_thebrianaj … knowing we come from the playground made this journey even more special. Full circle in the best way.❤️

Shoutout to Educere 60 for the love, energy, and genuine connections… and to the women of the Real Beta Alpha Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.… thank you for trusting me and allowing me to serve.

To my FAMU Gospel Choir family…

My first organization on campus… and honestly, one of the most defining parts of my journey.

FGC gave me more than just a place to sing. It gave me growth. It gave me real connections. It gave me people who became family. The kind you laugh with, pray with, cry with, and still show up with on a random Tuesday rehearsal like nothing ever happened.

There’s something about this choir that can’t be recreated. You just had to be there.

Serving as Vice President was truly an honor. I grew into that role, got comfortable in it, and learned what it really means to lead people, not just stand in front of them. Was it always easy? NOPE. But I’m grateful I was able to serve with a humble heart and give what I could to something that gave so much to me.

FGC will forever have my heart.

To E-Board and Music Board ‘25-‘26…shoutout to us, for real. We had moments where things felt heavy, where it could’ve went left real quick, but we chose to shift, to communicate, and to come back together. We didn’t just lead a choir, we helped build a community. A space where people could grow spiritually, musically, and personally.

And that means everything.

To my successor, @jxoxolife … VP

Buckle up, but in the best way.

You got it. I truly believe in you, and I’m excited to see how you step into this role and make it your own. Lead with love, stay grounded, and trust yourself even when things get loud.

To E-Board ’26-‘27… I’m watching with pride already. I can’t wait to see how y’all continue to elevate this choir and take it even further.
