Stabilizing your body from the inside out starts with intra-abdominal pressure. ⚡️ With pressure engaged, power travels from the ground up—through your hips and core 🌀 and into each swing. Doing pressure right lets your core transfer force efficiently and effectively to the clubhead. 🏌️

📍Build Your Foundation Before You Build Your PRs

In the gym, strength without stability is like building a skyscraper on sand — it won’t hold up. 🏗️

That’s why we use Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) — a system that provides the road map for ideal human function.

✅ Reconnect your body to the way it was designed to move
✅ Train stability before loading strength
✅ Lay the groundwork for long-term movement quality & injury prevention

When your foundation is solid, every lift, sprint, and jump gets better. This is the key to not just moving more weight… but moving it better. 💪

🎯 Movement is medicine. Stability is the prescription.

Dead Bug w/core 360 belt

Why:
Enhance midline stability through diaphragmatic breathing.
Train both spine mobility and stability at the same time.
These are core and breathing exercises.

Cueing:
Expand the abdominal wall in all 360 degrees and maintain this expansion throughout the training.
Continue diaphragmatic breathing while maintaining IAP.
Tuck a pelvic and keep the back flat.

Why:
横隔膜呼吸を通じてミッドラインの安定性を向上させる。
脊柱の可動性と安定性を同時にトレーニングする。
これらはコアエクササイズと呼吸エクササイズである。

Cueing:
腹壁を360度全方向に膨らませ、その拡張をトレーニング中も維持する。
腹腔内圧（IAP）を維持しながら横隔膜呼吸を続ける。
骨盤を軽く後傾させ、背中をフラットに保つ。

Here’s our patient working with the @core360belt to activate the posterior oblique chain, building core stability to support functional movement. ⚙️

The posterior oblique chain plays a crucial role in the body’s integrated muscular system, comprising synergists, muscle slings, and myofascial connections. During dynamic movements like walking, power is seamlessly transferred from the lower to the upper body through the coordinated activation of muscles along the posterior chain, providing stability and strength to the lumbar-pelvis region.

By incorporating principles of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), this exercise enhances breathing patterns, improves muscle coordination, and strengthens spinal support for efficient, pain-free movement.

The outcome? A more stable core that boosts posture, relieves back pain, and empowers every stride forward. 🙌

NEAR DENVER? Join our founder, Erin McGuire PT, OCS at the @xeroshoes store on Saturday, May 18th at 10:30 for this free 1 hour event; Breathing IS Core.

A few spots still open. In addition to impacting our general well-being, breathing is such an integral part of our core and the way we move and perform. This will be an hour well spent and you will walk away with a new understanding about what diaphragm breathing truly is and how to begin improving the way you breathe and activate your core.

This event is open to all and applies to all humans, all activity levels. Link in bio.

🪄MAGIC HAPPENS WHEN YOU PUT IT ALL TOGETHER🪄

Functional movement is about integration. If we don’t keep an eye on the quality of IAP through a movement, the quality of muscle coordination and activation in the extremity can, and most likely will be, compromised.

We have had some great feedback on the new DNS and core360 IAP/LE integration workshop.

See link in bio for rest of video and course info/dates.

Want to put on a core360 workshop at your clinic or gym? DM me. Open to all movement professionals.

please note, the DNS practical requires one prior DNS course.

NOT AS EASY AS IT LOOKS!

Many people do NOT have the ability to create good quality intra-abdominal pressure (IAP) and trunk stabilization. They are also often unable to support through their lower extremities with good coordination and proper loading (distal muscle pull). Both of these impairments can lead to musculoskeletal issues and poor performance and begin to negatively feed off each other.

Recognizing and training good quality IAP and LE support is crucial. Understanding their relationship and the integration of the two can help you take your practice to the next level.

Join me for this new DNS Practical one day skills course in Denver, July 20th. Pre-requisite: at least one prior DNS course.
