A poem: Are you out there ?

Have we crossed paths
Will we share laughter together
Can I enjoy your thoughts and ideas you have
Can I take apart the essence of you and understand
I imagine that you can feel at ease with me and let go of it all, can I walk you through the darkness and lead you to the light
Can I enjoy your presence, the quiet, the loud, and anything in between
Will you stay for this journey, when two souls connect, I don’t want to hold you but I want you to choose to stay. Can you let me touch you, caress your skin . Can I be inspired by what you have to offer the world. Will we enjoy each other company, feel safe around each other.
Can I ask you for your loyalty , trust and respect
Are you hours away, miles away, or years away. Have we met before, shared long conversations, or was it a “hello” a brief moment of something that never was. Will you be the 1st smile I wake up too, will you be my safety in the dark

A poem: The night everything changed (2013)

How could ground crumble under my feet so quickly, the particles of our lives slipping away couldn’t catch my breath, airways constricted
Time slowed down in that moment, noise muted
Shattered dreams as if they were non existence
Walking through the death of our future
As the dreams dissipated
Clouds were just clouds, not ideas
Frozen in a time, suck in the memories of you
As I try to grasp for what could have been, letting go of something I was so certain of
Everything seems so far now
The sound of the violin playing the tune of a broken soul
The light was blow out , smoke and ashes left behind, no one came for the fire by @corea.madeleine

Putting my art on the walls:

For the last 4 years I’ve been painting watercolour, a new Material that I’ve never used. Apparently they say it’s one of the hardest medium to work with, and when I first started it was definitely something different comparing it to pencil sketches. I kept at it and fell in love with the idea that I could take my art anywhere, at the park, cafes, the beach etc, it’s very easy to travel with. Learning techniques like wet on wet, wet on dry , paper is quality is very important, layering, starting with light base first. Working with the unpredictable element like water, but with time water can work to your advantage. For years I’ve kept my work in draws, feeling like I’m not good enough yet and I final put them on my walls today. Happy painting everyone ☺️

Looking back, a poem for someone I use to know

10 years later

Songs of the early 2000 that echoed throughout the years in unexpected places
Times when people made phone calls, sent flowers, wrote letters
many dances that we shared
Just young souls in love, fighting for a love that was unacceptable
You took me to a places that I have never returned
moments that stood the test of time
Dreams of our lives together, of our family, growing old together

Love never laid in material possessions
But your thoughtful gesture
The letters that were written
The songs you dedicated
Looking at the moon remembering you
In the protection and care you gave me
The songs we dance to
The traditional you made with my family
Including the the people I cared about
The tenderness in your touch
You made me love flowers
