One more summer staycation with Julie that might’ve quietly become one of our favourites 🤎🌲

A-frame cabins, wood-burning saunas, hot tubs, cold plunges, a common area with a full kitchen + pizza menu, a gym, games… basically everything you need to disappear for a few days and forget what day it is 😂

But honestly, one of the things that made this place stand out was the host. We showed up late with a couple necessities missing, and he was incredibly welcoming and helpful. That kind of hospitality is rare — felt like I made a friend within about 10 minutes.

It was an unreal summer spot, but I’m already thinking it might be even better in the cooler months… 🔥❄️ Imagine these cabins with a fresh layer of snow, sauna → hot tub → cold plunge → cozy cabin. I’d be all over that.

Definitely one we’ll be remembering. ❤️

Everyone talks about Tofino’s beaches… but nobody tells you about this side of it. 🌊

While everyone else was chasing waves, we were chasing the tide.

As the water rolled into the inlet, we launched the kayak and spent hours exploring calm channels surrounded by old-growth forest. We spotted seals, bald eagles, and ospreys around every corner (we kept expecting a black bear to wander out, but no luck 😂).

Staying at @cedarwoodcove made it easy to experience both sides of Tofino. They have kayaks, paddleboards, surfboards, wetsuits, bikes, and even surf bikes ready to use, while some of Tofino’s most iconic beaches are just across the road.

The surf is incredible… but don’t skip the inlets. They might just become your favourite part of Tofino.

We’ll definitely be back. 🤙🏼

For our recent trip to Vancouver Island, we headed to Ucluelet and spent the night at Willowbrae Manor – Luna Cabin 🌙.

On the way, we stopped to wander through Cathedral Grove 🌲 before cooling off with a swim and paddle at the beautiful Taylor River.

Luna Cabin was the perfect place to unwind. The cozy loft bedroom, private backyard with a soaker tub, and fire table made it feel like we were tucked away in the middle of the forest…… we may have passed out in the tub, it was that relaxing 😅

One of the best parts? It’s only a short walk to the Willowbrae Trail, leading to Halfmoon Bay and Florencia Bay—two incredible beaches that are well worth exploring. Keep your eyes open too, as this area is known for sightings of coastal wolves and black bears. 🐺🐻

If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway on Vancouver Island, this place is definitely worth adding to your list.
