Another show in the books!!! 🎭

Every rehearsal, every scene, and every performance continues to teach me something new. I’m grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with such talented artists and continue growing as an actor.

Here’s a look back at a few moments from SHOWTIME.

I had the privilege of playing Kalek, a young up-and-coming rapper preparing for the biggest performance of his career. Stepping into his shoes was so much fun, and this character truly found a warm place in my heart. Every rehearsal and every performance reminded me why I love telling stories.

A huge thank you to my incredible co-star @thunnybrown for bringing so much energy and talent to the stage.

Special thanks to our directors, @coreyabrooks86 & @why.front , for your vision and leadership, and to our writer, @kareemfromeny , for creating a story that allowed us to bring these characters to life.

Grateful to everyone who supported this production.

Thunny Brown aka Simple Simple Simon. It's "SHOWTIME!" This past weekend I had the honor and pleasure of portraying a critical historic comedic figure from our past. Whites originally used burnt cork to paint their faces Black with large over exaggerated red lips to make fun of and perpetuate many of the racist stereotypes we know today of African Americans and Dark skinned Indigenous Tribes. Just like with all things we took the practice made it our own and did it better than they ever could have imagined. Much the same way it happens today in sports and music, one of the reasons many of the 1 %'s hate us with a passion to this day. When you know better you do better. In this hateful and hurtful Amerikkka that hates us and taught us to hate us, even that comes at a price which more times than not is your Life. Each one teach one. With Playwright and fellow actor Dominique Andriease after my performance. Took a minute to realize how moved and affected she was by the sensitive subject matter of the piece. There were as many tears as laughs and applause. We had to lean on each other and trust in the Most High to navigate this mixed bag of emotions. It's
