In my work I use a variety of tools but mainly the yogic wisdom and insight of the astrology traditions of India.

The techniques they offer, when properly used, help you see your past karma, your psychological wounds, and as a result what habits you need to change and where you need to go in this life to balance it out and be happy and fulfilled.

This is why it was called the “Eye of the Veda (truth)” and was traditionally the first thing Brahmins would be taught upon initiation.

There are other tools I use for reading the karmic condition and healing our wounds such as yogic and Adlerian psychology, human design, omen reading, the Chinese art of face reading (Siang Mien), Ayurveda, Herbalism, and Homeopathy.

Why do I do tropical vedic astrology? Why not just western astrology? Sure would be a lot easier being an American living in the west and all right?
Here I explain why I dont do western astrology. Mainly because they dont have any techniques. All they have is aspects. You look your chart up on astro.com and it just gives endless aspects. And then they started making up new aspects like quincunx and semi sextile. Obviously they ran out of tools long ago.
Its like that saying, if your only tool is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
Contrast this with Vedic astrology where we have avasthas, ashtakavarga, dignity, planetary friends and enemies, dashas and other unique timing systems, 15 other entire birth charts to read from that are extrapolated from the main chart, shadbala and all the different balas or strengths a planet can have, planetary war, and an entire other lunar zodiac of 27 moon signs.
And to top it all off Vedic Astro has 3 different types of aspects, so it has even more aspects than western does anyway. Vedic uses tajika aspects (same as western), graha sputa drishti, and rasi aspects, which is where signs actually aspect each other.

So yea Im good on these quincunxes and semi sextiles. Im also good oj these little meteors like chiron or lilith which are tiny little rocks, may as well read where the ISS space station is in your chart.
Junk food astrology can keep all that. Im gonna stick with what actually enlightened Rishis taught. And if you are gonna go with western astro at least go with the old hellenistic or medieval stuff, its more accurate.

The Vedic Big Three
In western astrology the sun, moon, and rising make up the “big three”. Awhile back I proposed the “Vedic Big Three” to help spread more awareness of jyotish into pop culture.

1) Atmakaraka - planet with most degrees in the chart, not counting rahu or ketu.
2) the Svamsa - the sign the atmakaraka falls in the navamsa varga.
3) the Janma nakshatra - the Nakshatra your moon was in at birth.
The first two explain objectively who one is and what ones dharma is. Or what we think of as a career path in modern days.
The third explains more of the internal subjective nature of the person, more of their feminine side.

Together these factors fill in and reveal so much more of who a person is than just the sun, moon, and rising.

It can take a therapist many months to find out what habits/concepts/behaviors really are causing the problems for the client, whereas a skilled tropical vedic astrologer who knows the avasthas can figure this out in an afternoon of talking with the client.
So you can imagine how badly I want the world to know this information. I wish they would just give me a weekend to talk to all the top therapists in the country and we could all make this even better by synthesizing it into other modalities.
The delight or muditavastha is one of the major keys to yogic healing that I would love to get out to the world more. You actually learn what habits truly are helping you for whatever your goal is. You learn what actions/energies/foods/colors/etc to increase and which to decrease to more quickly attain any goal.
Because good advice for one does not necessarily translate as good advice for another. Why is that? This is why.

But doesnt everyone know about jyotish and these avasthas by now?
No, these avasthas dont work unless one has the right calculations and unfortunately 90% of the vedic astro world is still using calculations that go back to medieval times. And so the avg Jyotishi learns these techniques and then forgets them as they really dont work on sidereal charts, which is what 90% use.
Somehow by God’s grace I found a true Jyotish teacher yrs ago and learned the proper calculations and proper techniques to do this kind of work.

But I just have to stress that the work I and other tropical vedic astrologers are doing with these avasthas is on another level from mainstream astro and if you haven’t learned it or had your chart read by one please dont think you know what I am talking about. A little bit of learning is a dangerous thing….

I devoured all Jyotish material available since 2007 and it wasnt till 2013 that I first learned how powerful these techniques are. Have used them or thought of them literally every day since.

The Avasthas of Vedic Astrology are the real key to understanding our karma and why life sucks or rules for us.
It reveals our good and bad habits with each archetype of life, and more importantly how to change those habits and heal our wounds. That way we dont keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result…

This is what I did with my life, learned the Avasthas, augmented the good, worked on the bad ones and instantly saw the success. I took the calling to do this for people for a living. And I am so happy I did! The avasthas are something I rely on in ever reading I do.

If you are serious about learning astrology beyond the junk food astrology level, you may want to consider this. If healing your wounds and being the best version of yourself is your thing and you feel something is missing, you will want to understand how these work in your chart.

Only thing is they are sign based, and dont work well with the sidereal zodiac, which is what 90% of vedic astrologers use. So they learn this then ignore it and never use it. But when we get our calculations correct and use tropical rashis all of a sudden we see why the Rishis valued these avasthas. The picture is finally in focus.

Its a game changer but very very few Jyotishis know how to use them because their calculations are off. So dont think you can just look up some astrologer and they can tell you this, or chat gpt can. It cant but it will make you think it did.

The real truths take a little more effort. I teach all of this in detail on my patreon for those who are willing to put the time in.

Some of you may know that Hitler was using Astrologers during World War 2. But very few know that the Allies were using teams of Astrologers to know what Hitlers astrologer would advise. They would then know his next move and make counter attacks based on that. If they were at that level then, imagine what level they are at now?

The influence of Astrology on the decisions of world leaders is something to consider in these times of war, which, by the way, countless astrologers predicted based on Saturn entering Aries.
Previous times when Saturn has entered Aries we have seen World War 1 start. Then 30 yrs later when he returned we saw World War 2 start. The next one was Vietnam. The list goes on but you get the idea.

Aikido tests are so much fun. Here are the last 2 minutes of a 90 minute test I did back in december. (Obviously they arent goin full power on me as I have a long way to go.)

Aikido and all jujitsu based arts are feminine arts in that they are about receiving energy and redirecting it. Only one of these guys is within 20 lbs of me, the rest are like 70 or more lbs than me. But as you can see it almost works better when there’s more weight and energy on the table to move.

A good Aikido technique is kinda like a good Astrologer or Guru who lets the person know the path of their aggressive energy is going to lead to their own destruction and helps them redirect it. Its basically a way to do white magic in physical confrontations.

Here I explain a little bit about why I switched to Tropical Vedic Astrology from a recent episode of the Mahakaal documentary series. Its the top jyotish documentary on google now. Check it out on youtube, link in bio.

Traditionally Vedic Astrology is said to use the sidereal or constellation based zodiac. But there is a lot more to this topic when you look into the actual jyotish shastras. There is a large amount of evidence that the Hindus used the tropical zodiac for rashis and the sidereal zodiac for nakshatras up until around 500 AD.

In this clip I also explain the meaning of the sanskrit word for a zodiac sign, “rashi”. Rashi just means a heap, pile, or more specifically an arc of 30 degrees. In vedic mathematics the term rashi is simply used to mean a 30* arc. If one is to draw a 67* it is described as 2 rashis plus 7.
So there is no inherent meaning of rashi as a constellation but as an equal 30* section of space. And within that space is a “heap” or “pile” of vargas or amsas (divisional signs with in the one sign), hence the other meaning.
