Corey Fila’s classic record “Rookie of the Year”, shot by Dolo, directed by Bamm and released as a lead single to his sophomore mixtape “A Blue Jays Dream vol 2” in 2012. Repping Jane and Finch and Ill Gotten Gains, Corey Fila is 1 of the heavyweight emcees of the street scene.. his talented lyricism with smooth but powerful delivery and authentic bars set him apart and gave him an instant impact in the game. With the respect of his peers, Corey has worked with many of the legendary artists in the Toronto street scene including C4, Oatz, Papa Corleone, Friyie and many more. His talent has allowed him to remain relevant in multiple eras, releasing his biggest his “Made” w/ Cadet in 2019 and his acclaimed album “The Bottom” in 2023. Corey Fila remains an influential part of scene and we salute his major contribution to the game #coreyfila #rookieoftheyear #6barstv by @coreyfila

To protect my position, my corner, my layer
While we out here, say the hustlas prayer
If the game shakes me or breaks me
I hope it makes me a better man
Take a better stand
Put money in my moms hand
Get my daughter this college plan, so she don't need no man
Stay far from timid
Only make moves when your heart's in it
And live the phrase, "Sky's The Limit" #Brooklynnights #wishingonastar #skyisthelimit taken in Brooklyn, New York by @coreyfila
