We're building an ADU in our backyard. Ok, we're just dreaming, drawing and planning. We're hoping to make more space for our family and create a more accessible living space adjacent to our backyard.

More importantly...We know there is a significant need for more supply and more affordable housing in our neighborhood and we're excited to see how this future tiny house helps move toward a future with more equitable housing. We know it won't fix much but moving forward with this project feels like an experiment in what could be possible.

We believe that there is enough for all but we're still trying to figure out how to share it. I can be idealistic and I'm putting a lot of pressure on 400 SF, but I didn't become an architect only to serve those with enough. Everyone deserves a home.

Details in the perfectly imperfect. I love the dichotomy of a robot painter. This is my art, engineered.

Track_02 release! Which one is your favorite!?
.
Picking colors, where to put them, how many laps, how deep to plunge the brush, what type of paint to use, how fast to run the 🤖 !? So many decisions, and each one has an effect on the outcome!

Dialing in the process and channeling my childhood to get the TOTALLY RAD color fade going!
.
So many little tweaks to make, and every piece comes out unique.
.
What do you think of these colors!?

Channeling my 90s youth vibes and trying to get RAD on track_02. There are so many little tweaks that go into making one of these. I've tried at least 10 different paints and I can tell this one is quality because it was $10 for 2 oz and my eyes are burning #safetythird
.
The yellow in here is much more neon in real life, hard to capture!

Where would you hang this retro rainbow?

The wait is over! Full Reveal of Track_01. Let me know what you think. Color or black and white? I'm just getting started and have so many ideas. Can't wait to mix up some more.
.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out offering clever ideas as well.
.
What I love about art is that everyone sees it differently! My kids have been waking up each morning to a new piece of art on the mantel and watching their reactions, expressions, and ideas following has been an unexpected reward of this exploration. They are already in love with drawing (thank you @valeriemhass for all the coloring books on full day road trips), and seeing these, I can see their minds expanding.

The Kent Special. If you know my friend Kent, he's allergic to color. He's one of the most kind and full of life characters you'll ever meet. Thankfully he's not on social so you all get to see this before he does! Help me keep it a secret 🤫
.
I love color too much to only do black, but seeing the texture in this gives it a whole new dimension, forces you to look for patterns. I kinda love it
.
This one's for you Kent!

Track_01 Details. After lots of trial, this was the first one that felt like it hit the mark.
.
The track stays the same, but every lap is different.
.
Let me know what you all think! This is a very new exploration and would love to hear some thoughts!
.
What colors should I mix up next?

Weapons of blob destruction. Blooping the paint and then watching the brush cruise through will always be satisfying!

What do you think!?
