YES!! Allow me to introduce myself…

I’m a 20-year business owner. A massage therapist. An esthetician. A mother to my own and a mom to many (fur babies included), A breast cancer survivor. And an Army veteran.

But those quick snapshots can’t tell the whole story.

Homeless at 16, lost but ignorantly unafraid, determined and motivated- At just 20 years old, I served as a medic with the 82nd Airborne Division and went to Desert Shield. Since then, I’ve spent decades caring for bodies, building businesses, raising children, holding space for others, surviving cancer, and finding my way back to myself and that is where you have found me …finding my way back to MYSELF!

Please know that these titles aren’t separate identities. They are all threads of the same wild life, one rooted in service, healing, resilience, and the courage to keep becoming, to keep on keeping on!!

And at this stage of my life, I’m ready to let you see more of the woman behind it all.
Hi, I’m Corie

Apparently, my vibe is doing their hair, cooking together, playing ridiculous games, waking them up, sharing long dinners and loving them in all the ordinary moments that quietly become a life.

There will probably be some hiking, healing, pets, honest conversations, beautiful messes, and pieces of life I’m still figuring out along the way.

I think you should…
build a life you don’t need to escape from.

This Labor Day, I’m thinking about a different kind of celebration ….finding the freedom to slow down without guilt, to rest without needing to earn it, and to enjoy a day without needing to numb it or turn it into something bigger.

A porch. A sleeping dog. Cool river water. A tiny neighborhood café. A life becoming simpler, quieter, and more …I don’t know…just simple

No judgment for how anyone else celebrates. I’m just learning what celebration looks like for me now.

Happy Birthday (yesterday) to my Caroline, Crazy Bucca Birthday @carolinepenland1 (which is now she is still listed in my phone after meeting her for the very first time like 12 years ago and instantly knowing we connected on so many viable, yet potentially disruptive levels) Cheers to you my friend and here’s to many, many more dishwashing experiences like this one, and thank you to @janepenland2 for allowing us to jam with @drowningpoolofficial during her SWEET 16!! #bodies #drowningpool #sweet16 #letloose #kitchengoals by @coriedulken
