A little closing ceremony. A new beginning. ✨

Two years ago, I arrived in Mexico, never imagining how much this land would become part of my journey.

After living here on and off, travelling, exploring and moving through some of the most profound transformations of my life, I felt it was finally time to visit Chichén Itza - One of the New 7th Wonders of the World, just a couple of hours from where I’d spent so much time.

I went with the intention to do a little ceremony, give thanks to Mexico & honour the closing of this chapter.

And what an experience it turned out to be!

I thought I was booking a room for one night. Instead, I discovered an entire paradise: a historic property dating back to 1923, with beautiful architecture, ancient trees and magnificent gardens. It felt like stepping into another world.

Somehow, I had almost the entire place to myself.
While I was there, I discovered it had welcomed royalty, international figures and some of the world’s most celebrated artists and musicians, including the legendary Luciano Pavarotti.

I booked one night. I ended up staying three. Honestly, I didn’t want to leave.

Watching the sunset, wandering through the grounds, taking in the architecture and slipping into the pool.. I was completely immersed in the magic of it all. What an honour to be somewhere so extraordinary, right beside this ancient city.

I’d gone there to give thanks to the land, but left feeling as though the land was giving something back to me — reflecting the transformation I’d moved through and showing me how much had shifted.

This journey has taken me through one of the most profound processes of unraveling and transformation. What I understand as a process of death and rebirth — shedding even more layers of old identities, roles, patterns and beliefs, and returning to something much deeper: my original essence.

Not becoming someone new, but remembering more of who I am. Moving into a deeper level of consciousness, freedom and connection with life.

I feel I’ve stepped into another level of my journey, and I’m deeply grateful.

Mexico, thank you. ❤️

Mexico has a way of bringing the ancient world to life.

I’ve always been fascinated by ancient civilisations, their histories, cosmologies and different ways of understanding existence.

Having Irish ancestry, I’ve become increasingly curious about the ancient history of my own roots and the cultures that came before me. And living in Australia, I’m conscious that the land I call home is also home to the world’s oldest continuing living cultures, with Aboriginal histories and connections to Country extending back more than 65,000 years.

It puts into perspective just how much human history exists beyond the relatively small window of time through which we tend to view the world.

The more I explore, the more I question how much of our understanding of life is shaped by the time, culture, beliefs and environments we are born into. We inherit so much — from our ancestry and upbringing to the societies we live in and the people we surround ourselves with. Much of it goes unquestioned.

Looking back gives us reference points beyond our own time and experience. It allows us to question what we’ve accepted as truth, recognise the patterns we continue to carry, and consider what we want to create differently.

Perhaps becoming more conscious of who we are, what has shaped us and how we choose to live is part of what it means to become truly human.

Understanding where we’ve come from is part of understanding where we’re going.

Days like these. 🤍✨

In a place of extraordinary natural beauty, sharing practices that bring us home to ourselves.

Yoga, conscious movement, breathwork and nervous system regulation… Creating space to slow down, reconnect with our bodies, find our breath and feel more at home within ourselves.

All of it, surrounded by crystal-clear waters, lush jungle, warm sunshine and the beautiful humans who make these moments so special.

Moments like these, and the connections made along the way, are what I’ll carry with me.

Grateful for this chapter and everything it’s brought me. 🤍🌞

Almost exactly two years ago, I arrived here.
And now, in these final days of having Tulum as my home and my base, I can feel just how much has changed.

The woman who arrived is not the woman who is leaving.

These photos are just a glimpse of the life I’ve lived here. The beautiful places, the experiences, the dancing, the connections, the freedom. But so much of what these two years have given me has happened beyond what a camera could ever capture.

More time alone with myself than I’ve ever had. More connections and friendships than I’ve ever experienced. And the space to finally process so much of the life that came before this chapter.

I feel like I was called to these lands. And the gift of being here, of having the freedom to live, explore, unravel, grow and discover who I am becoming, is something I will always be grateful for.

As I move through these final weeks, I’m finding myself reflecting on the life I’ve lived here, the woman I’ve become, and the possibilities of everything that’s still to come.

I don’t think I could ever fully put these two years into words.

But I know they’ve changed me.

Tulum, you’ve been something special.

I love you. 🤍 by @corinnelsmiles

$I’ve always loved doorways. The opening. The threshold. The moment you move from outside in, from one space into another… To discover what is inside. And perhaps one of the greatest doors we can walk through is the one that leads us inward. Into the inner world. Into the body. Into ourselves. Because this is the only house we actually live in for our entire lives. And how often do we stop to listen and tend to it? To attune to what it truly needs. To clear what no longer belongs. To create space. To uncover and clean out what got buried. To make room for something new. To know thyself is one of the greatest journeys we can take. To listen and feel what lives within us. To make space for what wants to emerge. The way back home to ourselves is through the body. Through feeling. Through the senses. Through the nervous system. Through changing and rewiring the patterns that have shaped us. Because when something changes within us, our perception and experience of life changes with it. We see differently. We choose differently. We move differently. We align with different experiences. The world around us changes because we are no longer meeting it from the same place. The body is the house. The self is the home. And there is a whole world waiting to be discovered within. 🤍 #embodiedliving #selfknowledge #innerwork #cominghome #consciousliving Thank you @casaakubali for creating such a beautiful space for us to enjoy, inside and out. ✨🙏🏼 Special thank you to Carlos @fractalphotovideo for capturing this 😊🙏🏼✨ by @corinnelsmiles$

After a year or two in the cocoon,
in the middle of my own metamorphosis…

I think I’m finally ready to emerge again.

Anew. 🦋 by @corinnelsmiles

We spend so much of our lives trying to figure out what’s next.

But life has a funny way of unfolding beyond anything we could have planned.

So for now, I’m choosing to meet it with excitement. 🤍

For years, freedom was the thing I was building my life around.

Not because I wanted to escape work, but because I wanted work to support the life I truly wanted to live.

A life where I could choose where I lived, create from anywhere, stay close to nature, keep learning, honour my own rhythm, build meaningful relationships, and spend my time on what genuinely mattered.

So I built that life.

And I’m incredibly grateful I did.

Because it gave me something I didn’t expect.

The space to slow down.

To stop distracting myself.

To sit with myself long enough to realise that no change of scenery could do the inner work for me.

Looking back, I don’t think external freedom was ever the destination.

It was the doorway.

The doorway into embodiment.

Into healing.

Into a different relationship with myself.

And I’ve found that the more connected I become to myself, the more connected I become to life.

That’s the journey I’m most interested in sharing now.

Not how to escape your life.

But how to come home to it. 🌿✨🤍 by @corinnelsmiles

Maybe sunsets aren’t just beautiful because of their colours.

Maybe they’re one of the few moments that ask nothing of us except to be present.

They slow us down enough to become the witness.

For a few quiet moments, we’re not trying to fix, achieve, or prove anything. We simply receive.

And maybe that’s why they move us so deeply.

The more beauty we allow ourselves to receive, the more beauty we naturally begin to notice, embody, and reflect back into the world.

Perhaps that’s one of nature’s greatest gifts,
not just showing us beauty, but reminding us how to receive and be it.

The ocean keeps teaching me the same lesson.

The moments that have changed me the most haven’t come from doing more.

They’ve come from slowing down long enough to hear myself again.

For so much of my life, I believed the answers were somewhere outside of me another achievement, another destination, another experience.

But every time I return to stillness, I’m reminded that what I’m really searching for isn’t out there.

It’s here.

Presence isn’t about escaping life.

It’s about becoming fully available to it.

And I’ve found that the more connected I become to myself, the more connected I become to life.

One breath at a time. 🌊 by @corinnelsmiles

Our feminine qualities are our most essential ones…
And yet they have been the most rejected.

We have all been taught to suppress our true nature.
To disconnect from who we really are.
To shut down what we don’t understand;
our wildness, our power, our essence.

And we are paying the price.

The disconnection from the feminine,
from earth, from body, from feeling
doesn’t just hurt women.
It hollows out everyone it touches.

Men who cannot bear the feminine cannot bear their own tenderness. Their own need.
Their own humanity.

This is the wound underneath all the wounds.

Returning to the feminine isn’t a women’s issue.
It’s a human one.

We all need to embody these qualities.
To feel them in our bodies. To reconnect them in our nervous systems.

Protective. Intuitive. Caring. Magnetic. Flowing. Softness. Grounded. Consciousness.

They can’t be thought. They have to be felt. Reclaimed.

Sometimes the pain is the doorway.
The hurt is how we find our way back.

This is what we are most starved of, and what this world needs to reactivate most.

In all of us.

🤍

If this lands for you, I’m here to help you find your way back.

Share this with someone who needs to remember. 💞

There’s a reason everything feels so intense right now.

We’re moving through a full moon in Scorpio, and whether you follow astrology or not, you can feel what it represents…
The underworld. The unseen. The parts of us that don’t live on the surface.

This is where shadows rise.
Not to punish you, but to be seen.
Because what stays in the dark doesn’t disappear…
It lives in the body, in your patterns, in your reactions, in the relationships you keep recreating.
And if it’s not brought into the light consciously, it will keep expressing itself unconsciously.

This is why so many people feel like they’re doing the work but still living the same cycles.

Insight isn’t enough.
The body has to be met, felt, sat with, unwound.

We’ve just moved through a season of deep shedding, and now there’s this desire to move forward, to step into something new.

But before that happens, life will often pull you into the fire, into the discomfort, into the parts of yourself you’ve spent years avoiding.

And that can feel overwhelming, especially when you don’t know how to work with it.

But if you do, this becomes one of the most potent times of your life.
Because it reveals what was never truly you, the conditioning, the survival patterns, the pain beneath the surface.

And this is the part most people miss:

Going into your shadow isn’t the problem.
Not knowing how to integrate what you find there is.

Because when you know how to stay with yourself in it, when your nervous system learns it’s safe to feel, safe to soften, safe to release, everything begins to reorganise.

The darkness stops being something you fear and becomes the doorway back to your power, your body, your truth.

This is the real work.
Letting the old burn.
Learning how to sit in the fire without abandoning yourself.
Transmuting what was held in survival into something real.

And on the other side of that is a grounded sense of safety, a deeper self-trust, a kind of light that isn’t fragile because you’ve met yourself in the dark.

This is the work I guide people through, gentle, deep, and for real.
