What an eventful Wine Wednesday 🙂🍷 Yesterday evening, we took another Wine Field Trip to @adamswineshop | @altarestaurant for our Wine Wednesday series. As always, thank you for always extending a continual invite to us! It’s such a pleasure to establish community and provide Wine knowledge with you all 🤎

We had the opportunity to speak with Nick from @neighborhoodwinery & @paliwineco and we chatted about sustainability, their Wine making systems and procedures, irrigation style, tank method and so much more! It was such a delight to know that my Somm senses were 🎯 SPOT ON when I made an educated guess that their Rosé grape blend were picked at night and stored in stainless steel tanks. It’s all in the taste 🤌🏽 I also loved that they prioritized utilizing the Sangiovese grape during their process. Simply delicious 🤤

Note that not only is the Wine Selection diverse but so are the sounds! My Los Angeles community, check out Sip & Jams on a Wednesday (and possibly me too 😉)

Wine Wits, it’s cold outside 🥶 We’re dropping our Masquerade Wine Event reel to warm things up a bit 😊 On November 19th (it was all good just a month ago 🥲) we celebrated our One Year Anniversary and Farewell Sip. A grand exquisite time was had 🥂

As most know, @corkedwithclass specializes in hors d’oeuvres style Food & Wine Pairings — thus, our Menu was carefully curated for all dishes to pair well and complement each featured Wine! Our spread featured Italian Wines, Mulled Wines, and a toast featuring Blanc de Blanc (which happens to be one of our all time favorite Sparkling Wines!) We also had the talented performance of Violinst, @_allenmadison_ 🎻 Our official Chicago DJ, @dj_cenncity provided the sounds. Not only was this an Anniversary celebration, but our Sommelier and Event Planner, @iamcheyenneloreal is departing across the country to continue her passion and conquer her dreams! Tempranillo happens to be one of our Somm’s favorite varietals/grapes! ✨ As always, we love a key fact! 🔑 “Tempranillo” is derived from the word “temprano,” which in Spanish translates to meaning early! Tempranillo ripens + matures much earlier than other Spanish grapes!🔅

When you hear Tempranillo, know 💭 Spain 🇪🇸 Actually, Ribera del Duero is Spain’s most prestigious region for Red Wine, with a rich history dating back 2000+ years. Despite a rugged, challenging landscape, climate and conditions — it is home to arguably the world’s finest and most universally beloved impressions of Tempranillo 📌

Happy Wine Wednesday Wine Wits! 🍷 It’s been a while between juggling Wine Events, travel & life but back with purpose nevertheless ☺️

If you love spicy foods, Cajun & Creole cuisine (even Thai food) and/or looking for the perfect, robust stand alone Spring/Summer Wine and have a Sweet-ish palate — this might be a must have for you! 🫵

This style of Wine gives me such great nostalgia 🥹 truly. White Zin is technically a Rosé style Wine that is drinkable, flavorful, and fun, and range from sweet to surprisingly dry. Balancing sophisticated, professional yet fun! I have so much admiration and love for this diamond in the rough.

White Zin is an excellent choice for a weekend brunch but work hand & hand as well with a salad, charcuterie/crudite or light poultry or even seafood.

A HUGE S/O to the family @unclecurtsfoods for the city renowned crackers 🙌🏽🤎 Cajun is our favorite flavor paired w/ the Smoked Salmon dip 🤤🤤🤤

Happy Wine Wednesday! 🍷Instead of our usual bi-weekly Instagram Live, just dropping by to say hello 👋🏽 and to say thank you for all of the recent Wine gifts we’ve been receiving! The thought is so kind 🥰 We are so appreciative! (Don’t hesitate to inquire where to send PR Packages + Gifts!) Now I must express that Wine Gift Giving is either a 100% hit or a miss. That said, whomever is receiving the gift may/may not have the similar palate preference; or they may simply adore it! (Stay tuned for my first impression taste/reaction) 🙂

We refreshed on our @corkedwithclass standard approach to Wine Tasting (The 5 S’s) *bookmark this in case you may forget.* You also will see that this bottle of Wine wasn’t 100% adored, but I will say it was tasty — could I finish the entire bottle by myself? (No) … well maybe 🤭 Moreover, it was a Sweet Wine and I usually don’t run to Fruit Wines during Winter but the purpose of this Food & Wine Pairing is to display balance. This Fruit Peach Wine pairs well with this South African inspired, Portuguese cuisine similar to the restaurant chain by the name of “Nando’s” for a few reasons: the sweetness in the Wine is so rich that it creates an ambiance of harmony to balance the spicy element of the Peri Peri Sauce from @traderjoes, to mirror the delicious mashed potatoes from Nando’s and with special attention to the squash. The squash pairing was so refreshing alongside the effervescence of the Frizzante ✨

Frizzante occurs when there’s a second fermentation within the Wine making process with CO2. Those slight bibles you taste✨ they are minimal but still stand out! You can also associate Frizzante as "semi-sparkling." Yet still classified and as a "still" wine. @fruitstandvineyards

Mental Health is SO important! This evening we broke down the Intersection of Mental Health, Self Care & Wine. Not only did we discuss the REAL, (just you watch 🤣) but WHAT MATTERS — Community & Mental Health!

I had the pleasure of having @niyasmithwil — Mental Health Professional & Advocate to discuss the importance and further dismantle the negative stigma behind seeking Mental Health resources.

We dove into the significance of setting boundaries, doing self check ins and periodic re-evaluations for optimal self development, recognizing the symptoms of Seasonal Depression & burnout, creating healthy expectations for self + your environment.

@iamcheyenneloreal - As a Somm, I have the social & professional responsibility of setting boundaries for healthy consumption and promoting healthy coping mechanisms.

We then went on to discuss compatibility (or the lack thereof) and how it reflects in life. As a take home exercise, I challenge you all to make a list of things your are grateful for and/or have gratitude for. Thank you for joining us! Until next time 🍷🤎

It has been quite a year for us all… Life has been constant, heavy and some would ultimately say tolling. Join us tomorrow, Wednesday — 12/11 at 6p PST/8p CST right here (on Instagram Live) to curate a safe space for those seeking to better navigate through the remainder of Q4, Seasonal Depression, work/life balance issues and boundaries, family obligation, the holiday season and its’ financial demands, etc.

Most know that Mental Health (or the lack thereof balance) may be something we cannot see to the eye in all individuals.

Let’s discuss and do our part to gather over a glass of Wine 🍷 (or) spirit free libation while we dismantle the negative stigma Mental Health can have; while diving into the leisured, relaxing and healthier activities you can participate in as we tend to downshift during Winter months while not typically active/present with the best practices at this time of year.

This season can demand lots of exhaustion and stress. However, we can work at it day by day together! 🤞

We will have the pleasure and presence of Mental Health Professional & Advocate, @niyasmithwil to assist us in our personal journeys.

Sommelier, @iamcheyenneloreal of @corkedwithclass will also be facilitating the conversation with a host of concrete personal experience while maneuvering amid the various obstacles of the hand in hand requirements of performing multiple professional roles, maintaining wellness, concurrent self development and all the while providing unlimited self grace and self gratitude for where we are right now in life and not consumed with worry of the future.

In honor of tomorrow being Wine Wednesday (and) the fact that our IG Live video got deleted 🫠 Posting in hopes of an early libation in advance for tomorrow’s Wine Wednesday. Enjoy! On 8/21, we tasted @iamtabithabrown x @Target ‘s Wine Collection 🍷 We paired her "Hello There" wine along with popcorn and a delicious charcuterie spread with lots of fruits. It is suggested to pair amazing with the above ^ as well as dark chocolate. I would totally recommend chocolate covered Acai & Blueberries 😋

If you’re having a hard time saying goodbye to summer, please stay tuned for our Wine Pairing at the end for a sweet treat 🥰 I’m in complete utter Somm shock too 😳 Drop your thoughts in the comments ⬇️
