’So On, And So Forth’

'So On, And So Forth' was created as a sequel to my last work, entitled ‘I Found a New Colour’ which served as a metaphor for the people we’ve lost, whose impact remains within us. This new piece, however, exists as a meditation on how movement lingers in absence, how the body holds onto what disappears; a dance that seems to slip away before it fully manifests. Through highly structured improvisation we delve into what it means to let go and carry on. In a world full of loss, the human spirit continues on. The lived body, a subject of memory. The work asks whether, in the absence of the past and the people we’ve lost, something new can emerge.

Crawling out of a deep hole of doubt to finally (and belatedly) announce the premiere of my newest work ‘Hang Time’

🕸️ HANG TIME — a new work by Malik Nashad Sharpe (aka Marikiscrycrycry)

A choreographic meditation on hanging out and hanging on. Hanging in the air. Hanging in there. Hanging by a thread.

“There’s a lot of candy in Hang Time, a lot of sweets for people to enjoy. It’s beautiful, high-energy and virtuosic, and there’s real joy in it. But that pleasure exists right alongside the more emotional and psychological dimensions of grief.” — Malik Nashad Sharpe

16-17 October at Tanzhaus NRW @tanzhausnrw
21-22 October at Dansehallerne @dansehallerne
29-31 October at The Place @theplacelondon

Commissioned Emerging Artist 2026
‌
We are extremely happy to announce the second edition of our Commissioned Emerging Artists initiative and spotlight the immensely talent Corlee Haverty who will be creating a new work for TPD Young Artists!
‌
A recent graduate of Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary, Corlee will be getting in the studio @pegasusoxford to embark on an exciting new choreographic work.
‌
Their work will be the second edition of our initiative that annually brings graduating choreographers to Oxford to create on TPD Young Artists, giving both the Young Artists and commissioned choreographers an enriching experience to expand their practices.
‌
Swipe to find out more about Corlee and watch this space for a glimpse into the process from when Corlee joined the Young Artists in the studio during the Summer Term for an initial research and development 👀

’SOLO (OLOS)’ - My last ever solo at Rambert School

‘(OLOS)’ is the second part of a two-part choreographic work, ‘SOLO OLOS’ which explores a life lived in motion. ‘(OLOS)’, however, explores the fragmented existence of memory and how we remember a life lived and a person gone. The beautiful discontinuity of memory submits a collage of collected images that are constantly being choreographically re-situated.

‘(SOLO) OLOS’ - performed at the Lilian Baylis Studio

‘(SOLO) OLOS’ is the first part of a two-part solo choreographic work exploring a life lived in motion. Through the imagined and inherited memories of my grandmother, Valerie Porter, the piece moves through fragments of a past I never witnessed, yet somehow carry. It searches for the spaces where memory becomes actionable and embodied: passed through a lineage and held vicariously within the body. The work submits the fearlessness of persisting and the quiet courage of continuing to move through time despite loss, uncertainty, and impermanence. In turn, the piece asks what it means to inherit a life through echoes, and how dance can become an act of honouring, carrying forward, and remaining in motion.
