#whypiphiwednesday with the wonderful trio @tupelowright (MC ‘25), @reeve.applegate (MC ‘25), and @hanna.hwellenstein (MC ‘25) 🩵🩵

“Joining Pi Phi has turned out to be the best decision I’ve made at Cornell for too many reasons to list. I’ve never had sisters before, but now I can say I have more than a house full of the kindest, funniest, and hardest-working ones I could ask for. Pi Phi brought me my awesome roommates, two of the most beautiful girls inside and out, and I’ve enjoyed every adventure we’ve shared. Whether Reeve is showing us how to make maple candies in the snow, Hanna’s updating us on the newest season of Survivor, or our honorary 4th roommate, Nooriya, is sleeping over on our floor again, I am just happy we’re doing it together. I know all of the love Pi Phi has brought into my life will stick around long past this house and these 4 years!”

“It’s hard to imagine what my experience at Cornell would be like without Pi Phi and the incredible friendships it has brought me. Since joining, I have met some of most dedicated, adventurous, and down to earth people out there. This year would truly not be the same without Hanna and Tupelo there at the end of every day and always down to go on any outing. From encouraging me to sign up for a half marathon to catching me up on iconic movies, these girls have filled my life with countless new memories and laughs. I wish we could live in our triple forever but am beyond grateful Pi Phi brought us together for future adventures and milestones to come!”

“As a freshman, I was unsure about going through recruitment, but the second I stepped into Pi Phi, I was embraced by an incredible community of the smartest, funniest, and most genuine girls I know, and for that, I will forever be grateful. Living in a triple with Tupelo and Reeve this year has been one of the best parts of my pi phi experience. From 10k races, to Trader Joe’s trips, and playing in the snow, these two always know how to make me laugh. “As someone who grew up with just a brother, I am so infinitely lucky to have found my sisterhood in Pi Phi! From my lin, my endlessly talented little Oviya who I could yap with for hours, and my hilarious big Lucy who makes any city feel like home, to my roommates Kaia and Lili who I’d choose to triple with again and again. From the seniors who have been my absolute role models in both class and life to laughing until I’m in tears in Sophie and Natalia’s room, or our cozy movie nights at Rays, Pi Phi has given me countless memories to look back on.
