POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This year has been a blur! So many awesome authors and brilliant books have made their way to our little corner of the world. It’s been a while since we got our film developed from our events, so here’s a photo drop of some of our favourite shots from a few months ago! by @cornerbookstorenyc

“They can’t be here for this,” is what I said aloud when I entered @cornerbookstorenyc. Three books in, it’s still a dream, more so, because I’ve lived longer and read more. That strangers and friends come to hear me is a wild blessing.

And then there are angels like @taub88, who has for the last decade ordered signed books in duplicate on launch night, or Laura Pendell, who ordered a floral arrangement to the store because she’s in CA, or my @consciouswriters locals who came so I could hug them offline. And the strangers who have been sending messages and photos of the cover. And, of course, the poets, who understand the importance of lining the table up with fried foods after a reading.

Grateful doesn’t cover it. 🤍 by @cornerbookstorenyc

It’s July already and we can’t quite believe it, but we can feel it in this heat wave!

Hope everyone’s got a good ac on blast to keep cool and if you happen to find yourself in the city this month we have a couple fun events planned.

This month we have…
Lindsey Palmer in conversation regarding her new book, “Salt Sisters,” on 7.15.26 at 6 p.m.

And…

Maya Popa, poet and friend of the shop, reading from her new poetry book, “If You Love That Lady,” on 7.20.26 at 6 p.m.

As usual, we have our weekly Saturday Story Time for Children ages 1-6 every Saturday except Saturday, July 4th which we will be closed for in honor of the country’s 250th anniversary.

We also will be taking a summer break from our book club as we read through the four translated published volumes of the “On the Calculation of Volume” series by Solvej Balle. We will reconvene in September to discuss. All book club meetings are RSVP only so if you’re interested in joining in the discussion please sign up for our wait list on our website at the link in our bio. We’ll try to get you a seat ASAP!

See you soon☀️
