Today we travelled through the small community of Rouleau, Saskatchewan… fictionally portrayed as Dog River in the classic 🇨🇦 comedy series Corner Gas. It was fun to drive around the town on a self- guided tour and see some of the buildings used in the show. Only a few remain, as some were allowed to fall into disrepair after production of the show wrapped up. The local grocery store and grain elevator were destroyed by fire.
You never know what you are going to see in a day! ❤️

Thought of the day: Gas stations and relationships both drain your wallet way too fast. ⛽️

The man who turned complaining into an art form. Happy Birthday to Eric Peterson, the man behind Oscar Leroy. Dog River wouldn't be Dog River without him.

Comment your favourite Oscar moment to celebrate!

Today we pause our regular content for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. We're taking today to reflect, listen, and honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, and their families and communities. Please wear orange and consider supporting Indigenous-led organizations working toward healing and reconciliation.
