'Iridescence'

Taken earlier in the year overlooking Goonhilly satellite Station. Inset up on top of the old military building thats now a viewing point and with all the recent rain provided me a great reflection to work with.

'Electromagnetic'

Last one from this fantastic night. As I was returning down from the caves I was treated to a different display with the water playing an excellent part in reflecting the light. This is probably my favourite shot of the night.

'Inter Mundos'

Another beautiful night but sandwiched between work days 🥴😁 Check out the name on the smaller blue boat 👌 Was greated with fox cubs playing in the road on the way to this spot. First time taking a milky way shot on this Cove but so worth it.

The Lizard Peninsula hitting different. 🌊✨

There is something so grounding about standing on the ancient serpentine rocks here, watching the Atlantic swell roll in. If you’ve only ever visited during the height of the summer day, you are missing the best part.

📍 Lizard, Cornwall

📸 Tip: Wait out the mid-day rush. The light softness around 7 PM completely shifts the energy of these cliffs, and your the right side for viewing the perfect sunset 🤗

Drop a 🌊 if you’d rather be here right now.

Most people visit Kynance Cove for the turquoise water and dramatic rock formations, but if you sit still long enough, the local wildlife comes to you. I spotted this kestrel resting on a rocky perch just off the coastal path, scanning the heathland between gusts of sea wind.

It's rare to get a moment where these birds pause long enough for a static portrait against the Cornish cliffs. Easily the highlight of the walk down to the cove! 📸🪶

📷Tip: If trying to photograph birds in flight try setting your iso to automatic. This will help compensate changes of light as you track its flight.

'Taigh-solais'

Captured along the rugged northeast coast of Scotland, this long-exposure image features the iconic Rattray Head Lighthouse. Built by David A. Stevenson on a tidal rock, the structure stands firm as the North Sea moves around it. The extended shutter speed smooths the sea, turning chaotic waves into a glassy, atmospheric canvas that emphasizes the solitude and resilience of maritime beacons.

Shot one takes in some oarweed that was left by the receding tide, while shot two I added a washed up buoy that now is in my garden. Which shot do you prefer?

📍 Rattray Head Lighthouse, Scotland

📷Tip: The single best tip for photographing at Rattray is to shoot mid tide while the water is actively pushing in or retreating, rather than at dead low or high tide.

Frozen in time on its own tiny island, Eilean Donan Castle sits where three great sea lochs meet. Whether shrouded in Scottish mist or caught in golden hour, this 13th-century fortress feels straight out of a storybook. 🏰✨

📍 Eilean Donan Castle, Highlands, Scotland

📸 Tip: Cross the main road bridge for the classic postcard frame over Loch Duich.

'Mael vatn'

Mealt Falls, A dramatic 180-foot waterfall fed by nearby Loch Mealt that plunges directly over the sheer cliff face into the Sound of Raasay below.

📍 Save this spot for your next Isle of Skye trip. Kilt Rock & Mealt Falls, Isle of Skye, Scotland

📷 Tip: Use an ultra wide lens or vertical video: Because you are standing close to a steep drop, an ultra-wide angle (0.5x on a phone, or 16-24mm on a camera) is essential to fit the top of the cliffs, the full waterfall into a single vertical frame.

'Auk'

Talisker Bay on the Isle of Skye is pure cinematic drama. You've got towering vertical cliffs, black and grey marbled sands, a towering sea stack, and a waterfall.

Did you guess what bird I found on the beach? This is the Common Murre. He was having a chill on the beach for around 30 minutes and was rather inquisitive of me before finally taking off. Have you seen one on your travels before?

📍 Save this spot for your next Isle of Skye trip. Talisker Bay.

📷 Tip: Check tide times. Visit at low tide so you can walk out onto the wide, dark sand and get close to the sea stack at one end of the beach and the waterfall at the opposite end.

'Glyndŵr'

Perched high above Cardigan Bay, Castell Cricieth has been standing guard since the 13th century. Built by Llywelyn the Great, it’s easily one of the most dramatic fortress settings in Wales—especially on a clear sunny day 🏰🌊 This historic Welsh fortress with 360 coastal views is located in a stunning area but which Welsh castle is your favourite?

📍 Save this spot for your next North Wales trip.

📷 Tip: Visit at various times throughout the day as the tide can completely change the visual dynamic of your shot.

'Ynysypandy'

On first glance this looks like an old abbey but actually is an old slate mill. Such an interesting building in a beautiful location.
