We did it! Cornwall Hospice now proudly hold the @GuinnessWorldRecords title for Largest Cream Tea Party! 2483 people came together to enjoy one of Cornwall’s favourite treats and beat the previous record of 1,088, held in Beijing. “There were two people in the room, one looking after Andy, and one looking after me”

The care at our hospices doesn’t stop at the patient, we support the entire family throughout their stay with us and beyond. Many family members, like Pat, describe the relief of knowing that while the stay at our hospice would be emotionally hard, they could finally let go of their caring responsibilities and simply be there with their loved one, while we took care of everything else. It is a priviledge to be able to offer the same comfort and support to the families of our patients, as we do to those in our clinical care.

We did it!🎉

What a way to end our 45th anniversary! Thousands of scones, mountains of jam, gallons of cream and our fantastic Cornish community coming together to celebrate our charity’s importance to Cornwall - jam first.

Thank you to everyone who sipped and scoffed their way to the @guinnessworldrecords title for the Largest Cream Tea Party, and everyone who worked so hard to get us there. We couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you for supporting us for the past 45 years of making every moment matter.

We thank Derek Bishop this week for his continued support of Cornwall Hospice. For over a decade, Derek has opened his Fontana Gardens annually in aid of our charity including donating the treehouse at Mount Edgcumbe Hospice, raising thousands of pounds to support our care. Coincidentally, this fell on the week of Derek's 95th Birthday, so we shared some cream teas (of course), at Mount Edgcumbe Hospice this week and celebrated a rich history of philanthropy in Cornwall. by @cornwallhospice

Making every moment matter can mean so many things. Sometimes it's a cup of tea and a listening ear, sometimes its moving the furniture so that our patient's shanty group can sing with them. We were delighted to welcome Kesvarner to Mount Edgcumbe Hospice recently. Music so often plays a part of how our patients are shown love by their friends and family, and it never fails to raise the spirits of everyone in the hospice.

As always, we are so grateful to the community of Cornwall, whose generosity ensures that we can continue to make every moment matter. by @cornwallhospice

🍔 Things are getting HOT & SMOKY on Lemon Quay…

@theaussiesmoker has officially fired up the @biggreenegguk. 👀

And this time, Adam Kesacoff isn’t doing all the cooking.

He’s putting the FAMILIES to work. 🙌

As part of his hands-on Aussie Burger BBQ workshop, families are getting stuck into cooking over fire, building their own Aussie-style burgers and picking up a few BBQ tricks along the way.

And obviously, there’s only one way to finish a workshop like this…

EAT THE LOT. 😋🍔

But there’s something even better behind today’s BBQ.

❤️ Every penny raised from the workshops is going to @cornwallhospicecare, supporting the incredible work they do for people and families across Cornwall.

Good food.
Cooking together.

And a VERY good cause. 🙌

How many people does it take to make a world-record cream tea?

A huge congratulations to Cornwall Hospice on an incredible world record, bringing thousands of people together for the largest cream tea party ever! 🫖

It was a brilliant day, soaking up the Cornish spirit, enjoying plenty of scones and seeing the world record come home to Cornwall 🏆

We were excited to play a part in bringing the day to life, being asked to create the visual identity for the record attempt, including Crumbles, the scone mascot! We’ve loved seeing him pop up on hats, bags and travelling all over Cornwall (and even further, we hear!).

What a brilliant thing to be part of. Well done, Cornwall! 💛 taken in Cornwall by @cornwallhospice

Huge congratulations to @cornwallhospice for bringing home a World Record today 🥳 Nearly 2400 people enjoyed jam first and a cuppa on a wet September Saturday up the showground in the largest ever Cream Tea Party! More than double the previous record.

We loved showing off a few of our latest EVs beforehand, including the tartan car (Kia EV6) that featured in some of the promo ahead of the event with Crumbles the mascot, and a Kia PV5 Passenger to transport guests from the car park today.

What an event! Well done to everyone involved ❤️
