Me suggesting this for movie night and ruining the vibe >>>
Also another case of this quote is not from the movie I just thought it fit nicely.
“In My Skin (Dans ma peau) is a 2002 French body horror film written, directed by, and starring Marina de Van, about a young woman who spirals into self-mutilation after a leg injury, becoming obsessed with her own flesh as a way to cope with alienation and a disconnected life.”

Someone asked me once if this quote is from the movie. I said “I’m so glad you asked.”
Because no it’s not it’s actually from an episode of My Strange Addiction where a woman is married to a carnival ride. I heard her say that and knew I had to incorporate that into the Crash print.

Ana Mendieta, Body Tracks, 1982

“In April 1982, Mendieta staged a live iteration of Body Tracks at the intimate Franklin Furnace art space in New York City. For this version, Mendieta sat on the floor surrounded by broken plates and used animal blood and tempera paint to continuously press and drag her hands across white paper. Rather than directly marking her silhouette on the wall, she created varied handprints and ephemeral marks, ultimately exiting the space to leave the stark evidence of her ritual behind for the audience to process.”
